DS's school is really slow in releasing result.. Perhaps there are other races who had last paper only on Thursday. So far, only Investigation result is known. Most dun get full marks though.GiftedGem:
Math result is released today. Tr uses the score of 40 as a good benchmark. For those abv 40 is considered OK whereas below 40, Work Harder.
The rest of subjects still not known except for
Social Studies- Most of them scored full 25 marks.
Tao Nan has released the HCL. DD's tuition mate did very well for Compo - 37/40.
GiftedGem, 40 refers to combination of paper 1 &2 ? that is abt 87% as a whole, assuming full marks in Investigation pp & 9/10 for daily assessment.
So 87 % is considered just ok ? Wow !
Yes. 40 is for Part 1&2.
Yr computation 40/50 + 25/25 + 9/10 = 74/85 = 87%
What about the bal 15 ? Losing track how to derive 100 from this perspective. :lightrod: -

For this eg, % obtained = 74 * 20/17 = 87 %
There is no "bal 15" -
According to my DS, last Friday English teacher gathered two classes (T2&T3) and announced the score in class one by one, according to my DS, 33/40 (or maybe 33.5/40) is the highest, 12 kids above 28 (2 classes) and teacher seems happy about it, as the result is slightly better than the mock paper.
No news about the HCL and science yet, but maybe tonight will get to know. Same as Dagong, my DS asked me not ask him about HCL as he feels "sucks" -

Heard over the wkends that one of the schools hv got back all the papers.According to my DS, last Friday English teacher gathered two classes (T2&T3) and announced the score in class one by one, according to my DS, 33/40 (or maybe 33.5/40) is the highest, 12 kids above 28 (2 classes) and teacher seems happy about it, as the result is slightly better than the mock paper.

EL was quite bad.. most scored around 20s range; majority has failed the baseline. < sign > why do they set such tough pp ?

Think Just4Fun is right, should be : Investigative (25 marks) + Part 1 (20) Part 2 (30) over total score of 75, then regross back to 100%.GG

According to what u know, is Eng result unpresentable all the yrs for most students?
My DS's class highest Eng result is below 80%.....
Science and Math got kids score full marks
Some students score HCL very high one....
