it seems to me that the risk of ballot at P3C is getting higher by the years. I used to think that I can try KH at P3, if cannot, then go for TKPS or GMPS at P3C. Now my worry is if i try KH and fails to get in, I may end up in Eunos pri or Macpherson pri which is too far.
anyone has heard feedback abt GMPS? Most of my neighbours kids are in KH. Had been told not easy there, which is another worry. -

My boy is now a Pri 2 student in GMPS. So far so good. He likes this school. Work wise, he seems to have more homework in Pri 2 than in Pri 1 but still manageable. What he enjoys most is the PAL programmes which students can learn things such as rope-skipping (which the school is very good at), instrumental ensemble, Chinese brush painting, hip-hop dancing, badminton etc. I'm glad that school life to my boy is not boring though some of his teachers, according to him, are very fierce. So far, the teachers who have taught him in P1 and P2 were quite responsible. I have no complaints about his teachers. My boy is coping well so far. -

My boy's class are all Chinese. Heard there are about four classes in his batch which are all Chinese. As for the other classes, from what I've seen, majority are Chinese. Two years ago, heard from the school that there are 70+% Chinese, the rest are Indians, Malays etc. Currently, the school takes in 270 P1 students each year. Not sure whether they will reduce the no. for next year's intake as they are planning for single session (but not so soon). P1 and P2 are still in the afternoon session currently. I think it should be the same for next year's intake.
For PAL, it is within curriculum time so students do not need to come earlier. -

I have a girl & boy too. KH & GMPS are within 1km & TKPS within 1-2km from my place. I was like you too wanted to put my kids in coed school & even did PV in KH but eventually decide to give up & put my girl in HGS which I have no regrets as my girl is happy & enjoys school very much. She is in P1 this year. Was quite stressful last year during registration as HGS is out of 2km & there's a lot of takers compare to past years. Thankfully with the new system, all SC got in. Initially have decided to put my girl in TKPS as I have another boy, really don't want to go thru the registration stress twice but changed my mind after I went to HGS open house.
For PAL programs all schools have it. My girl enjoys very much too

I chose haig girls because of their holistic teaching & their niche is art which suits my gal. -

I am sure you will not regret choosing Haig Girls'. You can find out more by visiting the school during their open house on 4 & 5 July, 8:30am to 12pm. My gal is in P1 and she enjoyed and always looking forward going to school.
