I think we need to teach our kids that while it's important to be humble and learn, and getting reprimanded is ok, constant scolding and verbal abuse is also not right. Physical abuse is a clear no-no.

verbal abuse is incorrect and in some cases, some action should be taken.
physical abuse requires urgent attention from both police and senior management...how could that person slap his younger co-worker??
how would that person feel if his children were abused in the same manner?

:yikes: Yeah... my first reaction was also the same: How can a 29-year old man (that has most probably gone through NS summore!!) be subjected to such abuse without any retaliation? :scratchhead: :scratchhead:

Poor chap must have been a target for bullies ...

Hope that this man will be punished to set a precedence. No matter what’s your position and how angry you are with your staff, getting physical is never justifiable.

Moral of story if you want a good intern get a foreign degree one. If don't want to be treated like this, get a foreign degree. :scratchhead:

Are you implying that it is better to get intern with foreign degree so you can bully the intern and the intern won't report you? Because the one with SIM degree reported the supervisor...

That person could have been very agitated by the young intern...but to hit that intern is ridiculous  no matter how angry person is, physical abuse is unacceptable..thinking about this makes me wonder if his family members are subject to his physical abuse too.

If this video was not made known, would this incident be kept hush hush and forgotten by the management? Would this fella apologize?

This is like, I slap you and then say sorry...bcos it is known now.

Such similar incident happened to me before but I didn't report to police. The place where I'm abused got CCTV captured but the top ppl cover up. The reason why I didn't fight back is because I still want to continue to work and earn money plus at that point of time I'm also pregnant. :gloomy:
