I second the opinion that p3 sa2 science seems easier.. Ds' class had v high scores too, n he is in Resp 1... Want to seek p3 parents' view of the SA2 papers, were they generally much easier? Ds is quite happy with his improved results, but i m not sure if it's simply bcos the papers r easier, or that he performed better.. So i can caliberate his study plans 😛

DS is also satisfied with his Science score while I find he should not have lost marks on the comparison of a bird and insect.
The school's mock paper is asking to identify and name the bug and insect which seems harder.

Mrsbongz, I don't think R1 is the worst class lah. The admin staff told us only 2 HA classes and the rest are mixed, meaning there are mixture of average and weaker ones.

Oh dear, i dun mean to say 3R1 is the lousiest class, juz that it's not one of the higher ability ones 😛 was quite shocked withe the marks for eng OE compre. I thot the mcq for eng was a little tough too.. Not sure if sch covered this kind of qns in the first place.. Think my ds juz doesnt hav sufficient practise for the more unconventional style of questions.. he didnt quite understand wat kind of answer was required.. Anxious to receive the rest of the papers..

            Jennifer:
I got a GOOD news today.

The Normal Chinese paper 2 which missed target by a wide margin, remember?

Turned out the teacher who adds up all the marks on all the pages MISSED out one page of marks 4.5 :spank:

And about 4 to 5 pupils hv the same issue.

            4.5 marks added back :rahrah:
Waseh, this calls for a celebration ... liddat don't organise BBQ also cannot oredi, hehehe

              FQW,

Tks for the encouragement. But u sure B2 for 2 subjects can get into Teamwork9? :scared:

DS dream is to be top in PSLE nationwide. 😆
Just treat it as a kid's ambition to be the next PM/President?
Based on what I interpreted from what ds told me, the average score in his class should be 3 B1 & 1 B2 for SA1. Of course it also depends on whether those are high or low B1/B2. The class has some super-solid kids who are obviously in a league of their own while most are clustered in the middle.

Or mabbe your ds has an affinity for Sci ... or his Sci teacher is good ... or he was paying attention during lessons ... 😄

Congrats! Should celebrate his improved results, I think it'll mean a lot to him. :rahrah:

Went through Compre oe for both languages. Some questions asked are not so straight forward - pupils need to understand the passage well and synthesise their own answers from info given in the passage. I also find the answer provided by teacher to one particular question in eng compre oe rather debatable.

FQW, I think I also agree with your DS's observation.

Get what u are trying to explain. 😄 I also hope that DS can \"squeeze\" into teamwork 9 next year. 😂
