Is Groupon a scam?

i do think the quality from groupon all this are lower…friend family business is in watches and had one of this deal sites going to his shop asking him to place some sale with them. Told him just pass them those stocks he wan to clear. no harm trying since no upfront cost involve. got sell good lo no sales nvm no lost…


i tried one deal for crabs before at a well known place…sibei jialat…the crab meat is like those serve at steamboat buffet…sibei low quality…

groupon offers are all set by the seller. some of them really want to give bulk discount as they can reach more people = earn more. but check who is the seller, if it is a known shop you should be able to check their work quality…better work hard find out now better than get cheated…

I will only try to buy things below $40 , if quality no good. Treat it as lesson learnt n just unlucky. But so far my below $40 purchases were alright. Eg Casio watch for kids.


Xueyan, I did my last few photo book from photobook Singapore. Think printing done in Maia. So far ok . The hassle is I got to spend lots of time, doing photo collage, arrangement for the pages.

Groupon is not a scam but beware of what you buy.


I will not buy tour packages or airline tickets from them.

When you buy a cheap ticket and try to redeem from the tour agent, they always say your preferred date is not available and must top up.

Really crap.

In the past, I used to buy BK coupons from Groupon. Lately just bought the Delifrance coupons.

Meal coupons from big companies are safe to buy. I try and avoid the smaller ones as when many people buy the coupons, they cant deliver their end of the meal and I ended up having to constantly call and try and reserve a place. The same goes for the hair and beauty places. Except that im more skeptical for the beauty ones as I experienced very hard selling at a facial place I went.


But i have had good experiences with products so far. I bought a Kindle and some misc stuff before.
