So those who want to last min then decide which sch to reg can only reg at sch on 1 aug....

After registering do u think its wise to hang around or just leave.

Sigh. Both sch I've chosen have balloting to be done
One within 1 km where chances are slim but within walkin distance.
One 1-2km balloting chances slightly higher but sch is far away.
For P2C, will have to monitor on 1 Aug. If you are registering after 2.30pm and you have no other back-up, and living within the balloting distance then not much to do but to go home and wait for news.

For the 1-2km school does it ever have balloting <1km?

      Tough choices.

      All the best

hi dears, I have been receiving the following advice:

Choose your DS or DD school wisely.
        :?
Remember if you choose a competitive school (though it may be a good school) - be prepared for 6 years of very, very hard work. It is okay if your DS or DD can take it. Otherwise, they may be very stressed and may 'break down'. :yikes:

Best to choose a school which you feel is not 'pressurising' to let them have a fair balance of work and play. You will build a very happy child and the bond between you and your child will grow (cos you can spend happy moments with the child instead of just pressurising them to do homework, study etc etc)
        :rahrah: :imcool:
        That is good advice 🙂

S'times (or most of the time), the pressure comes fr the parents, not from the school....

              Hi,

There will be balloting for school 1 and school 2?

              Do you have a back-up for P2Cs?

Schools around Hong Wen are Bendeemer Primary school and Stamford primary school. I'm not sure what's the stats for their P2Cs though or if there is any vacancies for P2Cs. Need to check.

St. Margaret, so far, the balloting has always been for >2km if I remembered correctly.

During my time, St. Margaret was my back-up for P2C as I was trying for Hong Wen in P2B.

So u are staying nearby my area too!

U are lucky if ur child got in HW.
I couldn’t PV for Hw as I had no one to look after my son.

Now I have a chance to PV for HW if I do decide to let no 2 study there in 2015.
Mind pm me how’s the PV like? I can’t decide yet as I’m goin for PV talk at St. Andrews next week. Undecided between St. Andrews or HW

                      Will pm you later.

HW and St. Andrews main difference will be culture bah, one is SAP while the other is Catholic. Depends which one you prefer. I like SAP heehee

Academics wise, I have no idea which is better LOL.
