Heard from the grapevine that one well-loved teacher is leaving the school.
Hopefully not any of the P6 teachers. -
Jennifer:
Nope, not P3 also. Heng ah.FQW:

Talking about P6, did anyone notice there has been a recent shift in strategy over the assignment of teachers to the top 4 classes? Or am I reading too much? :censored: -

Hey.. But you managed to 'catch' her.. What shoes were you wearing then?
Told ds even getting into the training team is an achievement. Hey, it's serious training for the sch team! So we celebrated as though he won the Boston marathon yesterday. :imcool:bgmum:
Can be in the training team means v high potential to be in school team right?
Well done & congrats to your DS!
Dw represented sch in running all the way to uni & even now for company. Hope he has her running genes. Now he just need a pair of Usain Bolt/Liu Xiang-enabling running shoes. Anyone know where to buy? :rotflmao:
Congrats to you & DS.. :celebrate: -

I hav an opp issue after reading the report bk. i felt that the class avg was too low fr the cohort avg, v disappointed with the FT. Was actually quite relieved when ds told me he met or exceeded class avg, but looking at the cohort avg, i have to revise my 'feelings'Jennifer:
Report book out today
Talking about report book, I was quite stressed looking at the class average score in all 4 subjects. For Eng especially, the average score was so close to the top score.
Must teach ds to sing the Kelly clarkson song, \"What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.\"

TravelMummy:
Thanks for your advice. He does the past papers but is always unable to think of the right words to fit the context of the passage although he gets the general idea, for comprehension cloze. I need to find him some help for the techniques. With compre, he tends to skim through the passage and tries to answer in his own words, which are invariably not good enough to score, heheh. Again, he understands the passage but fails in answering techniques. I can get him to do reading, but where can I find him help on technique? A crash course or something? Or am I on my own cos too late?

Hi Travelmummy, perhaps u can check out the tips given by Chongfu Primary at this url.. http://www.chongfu.moe.edu.sg/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/P3-P4_Reading-Comprehension-Workshop-for-Parents_2012.pdf this is a guideline i found while lookin for ideas to teach ds OE.. Might not be good enuff to score, but it shows why certain answers are marked wrong, and the technique to use to answer OE questions.
