Hi,Hi
I think Mind stretcher is the best, because they really teach you all the important facts and how to answer open ended questions. It's a little challenging though, but it'll help in exams. For Science Hub, their curriculum is sort of for enrichment and doesn't really focus on school stuff and revision. As for Perceptum and smartlab, they're ok but nothing that good.
Understand the above quote is 2 years ago. Anyone has any current experience with Mind Stretcher - Science? Is it good?
Thanks in advance. -
Mindstretcher the class size is 1:15. To me the size is too big.

Heard from my friends a lot of bad comments…they all pull out after 1 semester.

My DD started with MS since p3, their Science notes is good, but the class size is too big. Teacher don't have much time to focus on individual. After each topic will follow by few set of practise papers. Most of the time did that in class and took up few weeks lesson time, which I don't like. I prefer they do the practise papers as HW then make use of the lesson time to do discussion. But the teacher use the following week do correction and copy answer, only discuss on the Q most students got wrong.
This year p4, even change to another teacher still the same. I notice for the past 6-7 week before my DD SA exam till today still doing revision papers, so weeks of lessons just do papers in class??? and my Dd still weak on answering technique in Section B which not taught in class. :frustrated:
I am looking for alternative now... -
Hi all,
Rather than comparing tuition centres, one may prefer looking for a tutor by his own means. Where tuition centres' interest is mainly money (and it is legitimate, after all they are businesses), the website http://www.tutorguru.sg will simply put you in touch with the matching and interested tutors, and you will be able to select the one you prefer for your children's tuition. All of this for free.
Good luck finding the tutors you need

I agree that it is a waste of time doing the work in class. I switched out of MS. I think the current centre is much better with hands on experiments and also focus on answering techniques and process skills. But materials tend to be pitched at more challenging level.ichikutang:

How about mindstretcher science high achiever?
Are the above comments based on HA science too?
Thanks.
Am considering between MS HA science, science hub and just ed.
Does just ed have HA science class? -
hmm saw my friends sharing this http://www.classwright.com or http://www.facebook.com/classwright, anyone else seen it around? I think it is about community reviews and friend ratings on classes and parents / students can request for free trial. Will it be useful to you?
