I heard goat milk is better for children with allergy, is it true? Where can we get fresh goat milk in SG? TIA.
My 11 yo is still drinking formula milk. Is that why she's so chubby? Two cups a day.

          She weighs more than me!

Maybe I should switch her to low fat milk but which one?
if don't drink milk how to get calcium? They are still at growing stage

Switch to low fat fresh milk.
She can also get her calcium from stuff like tofu, broccoli, spinach, green bean, sesame seeds, orange, etc.

Personally I do not like all those powdered milk fortified with this and that.

I would prefer fresh too, but since I don't have a car, I have to compromise - powdered milk give more milk for the weight! I also don't have to worry about finishing it before the expiry. I just get the most basic low-fat powdered milk I can find.
Me, I have a car, but my fridge no space so will still have to make about 2 trips in 1 week for milk. The kids like Meiji fresh. A 2L bottle lasts 2 days, maybe 3 days at most.

Actually if I calculate, not any cheaper than formula milk. They go through about 3 2L bottles of milk costing $5+ per bottle a week, so in 1 month I spend about $60 on milk alone. :moneyflies:

I prefer Meiji too. If you have space in the freezer, you can freeze an extra bottle. Let it thaw one day ahead in the fridge.

I do the same for goat's milk when I do buy them from the farm. I will buy extra and freeze them. When the milk is very cold, it does not have a smell.

My younger boy gets stomachache if he drinks too much fresh milk - just like hubby and MIL - think it is lactose intolerant.

I think Meji has preservatives. There is a Greenfields milk available now. We tried it - more natural, less vanilla taste in it.
