I did online on the website. 6 applications approved instantly. 1 application needed some review and was approved in next 2-3 days.

I received e-mail confirmations of the approvals. Not necessarily to print out as it is stored in their systems but I am fussy, so I printed out to bring along.

            warning : catch a crab cruise , operator : http://www.catchacrab.com.au/

just came back from our Goldcoast holidays. with the June holidays coming up, thought i should post cautioning those who is planning for this catch a crab cruise. The boat ride, the scenery was fantastic and the kids do like it lots. But, yes, there is a BIG BUT is to our shock, the cruise was packed with 2 coaches of China tourists and 101% of the men (there were at least >20 of them) were smoking non stop throughout the entire 2-3 HOURS boat ride. Nothing against the Chinese nationals but the smoke was entirely unbearable and uncontrollably choking for hours. It's quite impossible to \"enjoy\" , amidst the rowdiness and din they were making.

From the \"crowd control\" and how things are being arranged, it's obvious the operator is \"seasoned\" to this kind of scene already (the smoke, the noise, the chaos). Hence we do feel pretty upset that they would pack us together with the batches of tourists. they should definitely split out the groups. I would definitely caution anyone planning this as it's a few hours of smoke to endure 😞

                hi starry_jo06,

I will be back on the 15th night. Will try to log into forum and let u know hows the whale sightseeing cruise; thats if its not too late for you then!

i checked the weather and it ranges from about 12-20 degrees. Im likely to dress my kids in 'layers'. They will either wear a long sleeve or short sleeve tshirt and if the weather is still chilly, will get them to put on a fleece top. And if its still cold for them, will get them to put on a jacket as well.
As for the whale sightseeing cruise, i will def ask them to wear a thick jacket as I expect strong winds from the ocean.

I'm going to the superbee farm at Currumbin as its nearer to surfer's. Im staying at surfer.

Im going for about 5days. Likely to visit seaworld, dream world, day trip out to moreton island, whale sightseeing cruise and superbee farm!
And if we are able to wake up early, will try to squeeze in the ferry road market and carrara market.
Think i will give mount tambourine as miss. Dont wan to be rushing from one place to another! hehe.
Don't forget seasick pills. Most of the friends I know who went on the trip felt sick. The few who did not are used to activities conducted in the sea - sailing, deep sea fishing or canoeing.

Superbee farm is about 25 mins away from Surfer’s.

Yup, going to rent a car as I have a party of 5. Easier for us to move around.
Hmmm, the Tropical Fruit Farm sounds fun! But I dont have the time! Ahhh…
As i hope to do some shopping at my fav aust supermarket "Target’!!

Coolkidsrock2, will PD prescribe seasick pills for kids?

By the way, someone was mentioning in the earlier forum messages that we need to prepay for Toll charges? How do I go about it?

And does anyone know how much are the charges for getting a SIM card with 3G?

                    Thanks

I buy from the pharmacist counter at Unity pharmacy.

Box of 10 - kids can take half a pill.

My kids are quite big already so should be ok to take over the counter medication. For younger kids and seniors, best check with paedi/doctors.
