      We visited River Safari, Sea Aquarium and Adventure Cove and which one do we prefer? We share our experience and recommendations on our blog.

      Read our comparison at this http://sengkangbabies.com/place-interest/top-3-new-attractions-in-singapore/.

      In summary.
      a) River Safari highlights:
      * Pandas (go early to catch Kai Kai and Jia Jia roaming around)
      - we can view 7 River systems from around the world
      - the giant creatures, Manatee, Catfish and Stingray
      * Amazon Flooded Forest
      * Mekong river tank
      - Amazon Square (12pm animal show)
      - River Quest (not ready yet)

      b) Adventure Cove Waterpark highlights:
      * Rainbow Reef (Must go !)
      * Adventure (Lazy) River
      - Bluwater Bay waves
      * Slides, try all the Slides

      c) SEA Aquarium highlights:
      * Dolphins are ever friendly
      * poke a few starfish at โ€œDiscovery Touch poolโ€
      * Open Oceanโ€™s Manta rays (Daddy can linger here for hours)
      - Jellyfish (are cute!)
      - Sharks
      - all sorts of fishes swimming everywhere !

      Alas, ticket prices are too high for the average families ๐Ÿ˜ž
      2A + 2C will easily cost $100 entrance fees.

      We are appealing to different channels to make fees more affordable.

        Hey penglee! You managed to snap a frontal photo of the pandas? We only saw their butts! The most entertaining part of the panda exhibit at the zoo was the very energetic red panda who wowed everyone by zipping up and down the branches and bushes. I thought the exhibit was not really worth the additional $5 premium per person.

        PS. We did go early...

          Yes chief, I must agree with you. The Red Pandas are always underated but they are so adorable and friendly, compared to their Black\\White cousins ๐Ÿ™‚

          Between, no more $5 for Panda already ๐Ÿ™‚

              thanks for sharing your review on ACW.

              Safra is running a promo on various attractions until August. Adventure cove tickets are going for $15 instead of $29! There are promo for River safari & others. However, limit to 2 adults tickets only. Still savings is $28 + can use the NS vouchers i think. Ticket sales start only on 25/5/13 Sat.

              I am going ACW on 25/5/13, hopefully not too crowded stillllll.... :xedfingers:

                YES, I saw the Safra promo for Adventure Cove too, very attractive !
                If you bringing kids along, do not forget to snorkel at Rainbow reef.

                Mine do not know how to snorkel, but they were happy just swimming around ๐Ÿ™‚

                  Hi penglee, yes, I would want to bring them for the snorkelling. but both my children are short-sighted. Did you see anyone wearing specs with the snorkelling goggles??

                  Also, can I check the following with you:
                  - are there water coolers around?
                  - actually we intend to bring swim boots but I donโ€™t know if we must take off when going on slides?

                  Tks so much!

                    hi Sparks, they will ask you to remove specs. A decision which bewilders me, as how do you expect to "seeโ€™ without specs?

                    Water coolers yes, Swim boots no idea.
                    F&B, although they state no outside food, I see big families with hugh pot of curry ๐Ÿ˜› (in case you wish to buy something in)

                        junemum72, if you are going this Friday which is the school holidays, be prepared that it would be crowded.

                        Depending what you are going for - for us it's the slides, the queues after 12 noon is only for the very, very patient pp. Even when we strategised to reach there at 10am to try all the popular rides, we only managed to finish one round. Thereafter, the waiting time for popular rides can be one hour or more, depending if there are any breakdowns. :roll: I feel that there are too few good rides to cater to too many pp wanting to ride them. Waiting time is a killer. Food is expensive & pathetic. Bring your own better.

                        Your kids will love the lazy river cos they have a section where you can view stingrays & marine fishes, even pp feeding them! You may even have a peek at the dolphins too! I love it as they don't mind you lingering at the display windows even for a long time. I didn't get to do the snorkelling as the queue is as usual prohibitively long.

                        if you have younger children, they may not be able to go on many of the slides as the end of the slides are usually deep. It may be good to check with the staff at the park which rides your child can take first so that you do not queue up & be told later that your child doesn't meet the min height restrictions.

                        Enjoy yourself anyway & remember your sunblock!
