My girl failed her p5 & p6 CA1 maths. she went to mrs lee in march this yr. I was surprised when my girl got 62/100 for her SA1. Her paper 2 jumped from 16/60 to 36/60. I didnt expect that as paper 2 was a killer to her. My girl was elated & felt that there is still hope for her maths. I really wanted to cry when she told me her marks over the phone as she was extremely happy. Can you imagine a child who always fails her maths test & exam and now she passed.

Really got to thank mrs lee for coaching her. :thankyou:
This is also not a newbie.

        pashu:
Elder son improved from 30+ to A in psle 2 years ago. Younger son joined in March this year after his CA1 marks dropped. He has improved from A to A* and topped his class for SA1, in less than 3 months. His confidence level has gone up which I think it is important as he is in P6 now.

Feedback from both boys is that her methods are effective. To me, she does not only deliver but also motivates my children to scale greater heights in psle.

        Highly recommended!
This is also not a newbie as she joined in 2011. So obviously she's thankful enough to want to write.

          KikaMum:
          Hi All,

If you have read my initial review on Mrs Lee, you will know that I've been thru couple of tutors (well-known tuition centres) before ending up with Mrs Lee. I've shared pros and cons on having tuition with her.

Sharing abt Mrs Lee is so that other parents who are seriously interested in getting a good tutor for their child can know abt Mrs Lee.

As I previously mentioned, Mrs Lee has limited slots and its difficult to get a place in her class as she's not a tuition centre. There is only one tutor - Mrs Lee. Also, she does not have time after lessons for after lesson support. Some parents might mind this.

Infact, I found Mrs Lee through an old thread in KS. And we travel from Serangoon to her place every wk. We are not near her too.

It's really up to each individual to gauge and decide themselves if the reviews are genuine.

Meanwhile, congrats to myself and other Mrs Lee's reviewers that we do not have to worry abt our child's maths! Cheers!
          :celebrate: :congrats:
My girl is also with Mrs Lee for abt 2.5 mths. Frankly speaking, I've yet to see any tremendous result from my girl (in fact my girl's result dropped fr 98 CA1 to 90 SA1). I am not blaming Mrs Lee coz it's partly my girl's careless mistake too. My girl likes her teaching, saying that she explained very LOUDLY and clearly. So I let her continue w Mrs Lee and see how it is at later date.

kikamum is definitely honest in her comment. Mrs Lee has NO time for after lesson support. She teaches lesson after lesson, so if you hold her back, you are actually holding the next lesson back. So parents, you really need to judge for yourself.

Yes, Mrs Lee is one teacher who’s very clear in her explanation. Even now that my girl is in sec 1 and not taught by her anymore, she wishes all teachers are as loud and clear in their explanation as Mrs lee.

Anyway, my friends just called Mrs lee for slots but her classes are full, except for one new p6 class. They’ve got to be on wait list. Like what one parent said, unlike other centres, mrs Lee does not ask other teachers to teach, other than another trained teacher, who helps her with p1/p2. So mrs lee is not a centre - she’s the only tutor for upper primary. Thus, the quality is there. Just my 2cents.

Doesnt she get tired? Can she really concentrate for so many hours without affecting the quality? Besides teaching, she has to mark the papers. Unless she's a super woman and could teach continuously.

I dont mind assistant teachers as long the main coach is around and monitors closely 🙂

Strangely, we have many new users in this thread. No intention to imply but just to highlight.. :scratchhead:

                      Hmm...you are really sharp

                      Woah, cannot stand the injustice!
There are so many \"old users\" in this thread who posted good comments about Mrs Lee and you choose to ignore the fact. Anyway, what's wrong with \"new users\" posting good reviews? By the way, like another mommy pointed out, it's only one really new user out of the many postings! The rest have joined KSP at least a year back. You really sound like a sour-grape tuition provider. I've come across other threads where you recommended your \"good tuition place\". Why not open a new thread to help parents like us know of your \"good tuition place\"?

Just to add, my children are all under Mrs Lee. All are from Tao Nan and doing very well in Math.
