      Blue Pearl:
Hi parents, appreciate it if you could let me know how this school ie the workload, the character of students, teachers etc as i am considering of putting my girl there next year. How about student care?

      Blue Pearl

Your questions have no definite answers. Every school has black sheep, be it students or teachers. Workload wise also varies with different classes. It depends on which teacher you get. Some teachers are able to get the children to finish whatever work at school, while some teachers can't, probably because of the makeup of the class.
But I've to say that i'm happy with the new principal. She engages the parents more and is much more proactive.
There is currently no student care within the school. But i heard there will be when the school shifts back to Bishan. But i'm not too sure about this.

how is the grouping for class conducted from P2/3 onwards? based on results? how is your P1 kid coping so far? Does the exam set tougher than what is being taught in school? appreciate if anyone can advise. thanks!

Hi, May I know what’s the timing for the school session for P1 come 2015? Is it single session already?

I called up the school just now. No information for the school session for next year onwards. The staff is in a hurried to end the conversation though.

2015 should be back at the Bishan premise already. It will be single session. Usually report in school by 715 am. That is if nothing new is being introduced.

Based on past years' trend, P1 and P2 will be the same class. Banding for the top 2 classes in P3. The rest will be mixed classes. Not sure if this will continue under the new P. Some of the teachers themselves are clueless as to whether there will be any change to the existing arrangements.

KCPPS may be a neighbourhood school, but i'm rather taken back at the stuff the younger kids are tested on now. It is 1 or 2 notch higher as compared to several years back. I would say the things taught and tested are on par with some of the popular schools in Spore. I actually hv to teach my youngest one in advance now so that she can catch up.

I say that because i have several kids from KCPPS, graduated, graduating and just entered. So i have some basis for comparison.

thanks zeemimi for the sharing. Are you an educator yourselves as you mentioned that you have several kids from KCPPS, graduated, graduating and just entered? I knew some popular school did not care much about the average pupil. The teachers are focusing on the top 2 classes. Is it common everywhere?

Sorry about the confusion. I'm speaking from the perspective of a parent, and a rather old one, judging from the ages of my kids. :rotflmao:

Focusing on the top 2 classes is rather common everywhere. But the scene should change if moe is trying to roll out \"every school is a good school\".
