A good way to know how much your child will get if the ca1/2 OR sa1/2 is the PSLE paper is to use this calculation ( it works for me )

(Maths +science )divided by 2 = (ans)
(ans) +English + mother tongue= approxtimately PSLE marks
If your child is in a slightly better school ( example : Tao nan , maha bodhi ,etc )
You can add about 10-15 marks to the prelim 'PSLE ' results to get a gauge of your child's PSLE marks
* don't worry if the result is unexpected , it is just a gauge anyway .

Sorry I only know where to buy such bks but cannot recommend any titles becos I don't use them. I only have one and the title is out of print.

(b) with the CA1+SA1 results out, are some of you able to compute your DS/DD own t-scores against their school cohort? how good an indication is that? is the existing cohort in their existing primary schools as good presentation?

a) I dont really encourage memorising model essays. Just imagine the examiners marking the same essays over and over again. A good model essay would probably becomes a normal essay.

Best to write your own.

b) How about comparing with the school's ranking?
