The school held a talk on DSA the week before the hols started.

Not sure what info was transmitted, but my boy came back home and said he does not want to participate in DSA anymore.

      :?

        Jennifer:
The teachers did not give out any hols homework on 30th May. I thought it was weird.

Then came the hols assignment during the hols lessons.

My boy also brought back the PSLE booklets. They are lying on his floor now, I hv not asked him what he is supposed to do with them.

Think the sch is warming up the engine.
My son said need to do sample test paper for CH, English and finish the whole book for Science.

wow, finish whole book of Science, siong man.

marking Science booklet B is very tiring. I remember my elder boy's Science teacher could not finish marking the top sch papers.

Today is a trip to the Zoo.

Understand from my boy that the bus arrived at sch ard 8.30am.

When the bus reached the Zoo, waited for teacher to collect tickets.

Then waited for teacher to do xxx whatever.

A lot of waiting time on this trip.

I recall for DS, 'serious' PSLE preparation started only in Term-3.. The teachers made the boys do ALL the PSLE booklets and many past-years & current-year exam papers of other schools (the school exchanged CURRENT-year Prelims papers with other schools immediately after the Prelims season)..

From 3rd term onwards, it was consistent & continuous revision-practice-revision-practice, all the way to mid-September..

Then 2 weeks before PSLE, the pace slowed down significantly, both in school and at home.. The focus for DS then shifted more to relaxing the mind, having lots of rest, staying healthy & happy, all ready for the \"battle\"..

Jen, All The Best to your DS' upcoming Prelims & PSLE.. Btw, does he have a 'dream' school which he wishes to join? πŸ˜„

During elder boy's time it was a trip to Sungei Boleh Wetlands. Relax?

Anyway, I find sch excursions with the best intentions do not work out. Group is too big, only one teacher leading the way. Those in the front get to hear what the teacher says, those at the back cant hear well n end up talking among themselves - no real learning.

                    :thankyou:

Elder boy was so sick of doing test papers then.

The younger boy says want to go NJC too. I am like \"sure or not\".

My boys are really poles apart. Dr.Ngiam can cure my elder boy but cant do miracle for the younger boy. In many other areas, they respond differently from each other. I am afraid that NJC suits the elder child but might not be so for the younger one. :xedfingers:

oh lah, these 2 already out of his radar. He says : No all boys' sch, not even ACS (@ Baker or Dover Rd).

He is like a yo-yo, I really need to pray at all temples for him. If he can get 250+ I would be crying with joy.
