:!: Actually I can't imagine that too. Last time the floods in that area was really something eh? Anyone has wadding stories to tell of A&W?
But that was quite some place. Dunno why I remember so clearly - I thought it was so weird to build a structure over the canal. -
Recently Mac come out with the curly fries thingy. Last sunday went to Mac with my SIL, Mum & kids and I mentioned that the best curly fries in S'pore is still A&W.
Yes, I love their root beer float, curly fries and the breakfast meal. -

Oh yes, Iām old enough to remember that A&W restaurant.
Dad used to drive us there and park outside the restaurant.
The waitress will come over to take our order, then she will bring the food over on a tray which will be propped on the car door (with the window rolled down). We will then have the food in the car. -

You dun make me so shy lah!
Btw buddy, I trust that you did not peep into google for the answer, so I am transfering the winning KSP points of 100 to you now. I am poorer by 100 KSP points but richer by getting to know you better.
Wendy's was at Far East Plaza, right? It was supposed to be the \"better\" burger, so more expensive.
Didn't have time to read through the thread, but if the question on where the first A&W is still valid, ten my answer is the one on the canal on Dunearn/Bt Timah. Dunno why I remember that cos that was really yonks ago in the 70s. Dunno when it shut down. I must be lao liao
