Don’t know how our DD / Ds during today recess times.

Sometimes I really like to know my DD class teachers. They don’t introduce to parents like during the Nursery or k1/k2 times. Right?

Yes, unfortunately, the school doesn't seem to practise it. I know of other schools that have done so. Some form teachers even gave out their mobile numbers.

Not that I wuold expect the teacher to give us their mobile but this self introduction isn't very much to ask for, or is it? They could have done a quick round on the first day - Just say half an hour for a quick self introduction of say at least the form teacher, if not the other teacher and vice-versa. At least put a face to the name. So now I can only go by the photo on the notice board.

          Hi all

By the way, just wanna find out how much pocket money that you dear mommies and daddies give to your kid today? I went to survey the tuckshop on the 1st day of school. Most of the food priced below $2. I was thinking to give $2 per day  Is it too much? Haha!!

          Hi,

I also give $2 to my DD. After compare the price from the tuckshop most price of the food is between $0.70 to $2.20.

For us, we gave our DS $1.50, and an extra $2 as 'emergency fund' to be activated πŸ™‚

I did received my son's form teacher's mobilephone number in her letter to the class. She stated that its for notification of the student's absence. Any other issue can be through her personal email.

I just went outside her school trying to glance my DD during her recess time.

Around 20 mins break only, and the childrens are going up the stairs already. The teachers announce to get everything settle down first before the class resume.

              So fast , Right. πŸ˜“

That was what I was worried too. My boy is a slow kid. You know, everything slow slow slow. I packed bread for him.

My DD a bit slow too. But I prefer her to learn to eat in the canteen like other childrens so that she won't feels left out. As during Nursery time, I pack her own foods for 3 years as the school sometimes gave them chocolates cake , pandan cakes where she is allegic to it .

During the 3 years, my DD always came back saying that her friends have this and that. I feel bad but how, she's allegic. 😞

I see. Kids their 'pattern' every now and then. I won't be shocked in few days time when they get to know each other well, they will be buying all sorts of food together

I guess some probably not ready yet 'mentally' as all these need their personal time, or maybe they prefer communication through the handbook or via the school email just to be formal.

I just received an email from the form teacher with photos of the children in class. They were so cute ^v^
