[Bukit Merah] Primary Schools

Same here, would like to hear from parents about GES too ! I read from the school’s website that they offer quite good initiatives and activities for the children. I miss the Learning Fiesta held during April. Anyone knows if GES will be holding any talks for the P1 registration?

For RMPS, we are under 1 - 2km... APS, no idea coz it's not reflected on OneMap.

Okie..got the distances..
RMPS - Phase 2B (1 - 2km)
APS - Phase 2C (< 1km)
Considering the school itself as well as the chances, which one is a better choice to try if U were me? Any 'strategies' to go about?

Last year, there was balloting for those in the 1-2 km category during P2B. Since you have already qualified for P2B in RMPS (I assume you are), you might as well try this school in P2B. If you do not apply, your time spent volunteering in the school would have gone down the drain. If you try, you still have a chance. Anyway, you have nothing to lose by applying in P2B, right?Hi QMS and xlan

Should you manage to get into RMPS in P2B, you may then monitor the situation in APS. If you are able to get a confirmed place in APS in P2C, I suggest you withdraw your application from RMPS and apply with APS. Personally, I feel that distance is very important. On the other hand, if you need to go through balloting in APS, I would suggest you to stay put in RMPS. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
My two cents. -
RMPS did balloting at phase 2b in 2012… if ur child is citizen then i think has higher chance at APS phase 2c given u r <1km… and APS looks promising to me cos of the P & VP as well as the new facilities… and their 2 school-based curriculum (Cultural intelligence and Environmental education) sounds good to me too… i’m very interested in APS… my boy is only 3 this yr so i still hv a few yrs to observe… keke…

Personally I would consider the distance more important than others. This time round there is internet registration of P1. Meaning that you will not be able to capture live result for those apply through the internet.
Yes the P & VP for the future APS their profile is good but somehow I believe the management should be different compare of MBS & APS. From what I know MBS is it a GEP or SAP? With the announcement of the Principal profile of APS, definitely it will draw certain demand of registration. Somehow CPS also did some advertisement on TV & have one time it enter a balloting situation.
Yes, I am in quite a dilemma due to the Principal's portfolio for APS. Also, APS is < 1km from my house whereas CPS is <2km fm my hse and just below my mum's block. The only issue I have is whether APS will have a after school student care in it's premise. I am a working mum and student care will definitely be essential for my kid. At the moment, there is no news as to whether there will be a student care in the premise or not. :scratchhead:
