Travel: Malaysia - Genting
-
We got a lower floor so we got a garden view. It was peak so we didn’t have a choice.
Both my kids didn’t like the rainforest splash park as the water was too hot for their liking. My boy commented it was like soaking in a hot spring.
We didn’t get the annual pass as we usually only stay for 2 nights max. 1 full day is sufficient for the outdoor theme park. Night time is usually reserved for indoor theme park and arcade.
We found it quite OK to stay at Theme Park hotel as we could return to the hotel easily for afternoon naps and lunch when we visited the outdoor theme park. It is not that far to First World plaza if you take the sheltered internal route. -
anyone just back from Genting this month?
am wondering if Snow World is still operating. -

Hi,
Yes the snow world is just newly opened in sept. -
Anyone knows any fruit picking farm around genting area?
Or any interesting place to visit outside Genting? -

Read somewhere about the strawberry farm. The blog mentioned that can take the cable car down to the bus terminal and the strawberry farm has a buggy pick-up there. If not, just take a cab down from the hotel.Anyone knows any fruit picking farm around genting area?

Wow great, thanks for sharing. I assume the other places of interest in their web are within the same farm?
Will you be taking a cab down or from the bus terminal.
Years back, we tried taking the cable down to the terminal and did see a farm signboard that says within vicinity. But we roamed around by walking only saw the stable and gave up. -

From what I read from other blogs, it looks like all the farms are next to each other. Eg. http://cavinteo.blogspot.sg/2013/01/genting-strawberry-leisure-farms.html

Not sure about taking the cab or the cable car. Shall see how when we get there -
I'm going to Genting in June again and just saw the above strawberry farm blog. It looks nice and I would like to visit with my family.
I remember I went to the temple and there are some nice shops selling corns, sweet pototoes too. -
Any good restaurant nearby to recommend other than having to have meals at the genting mall?
-
Anyone been to the strawbbery farm? How do u get there?
Thinking of going somewhere near by but cooling in July. Genting and Cameron highland came to mind. -
I would like to find out if the haze has affected genting?

Go down from Genting by cable car. There is shutter bus at the cable car station (RM$2 per pax). Or can take taxi (of course more ex).Anyone been to the strawbbery farm? How do u get there?

Thanks anyway.[/quote]We took a cab from the bottom main station at rm10 per car. The shuttle charges rm2 per pax so if you have more people taxi mayb more worth it. The shuttle doesn't come often.
The farm is pathetic but for my kids first time, I think it's still worthwhile to make a trip down.
Hope you will enjoy.
