      buds:
Happyheart, :hugs: sorry to hear everyone else in the family is down with the pox. U hang in there. I kenna it already when i was in primary school just trying to show my best friend some love after she returned from her two weeks' mc. Yup, I learnt then that it doesn't clear according to the medical cert clearance date and likewise for HFMD. Must really dry up so I keep my kids at home few days and depending on their condition (even for other firms of illnesses), at times up to a week after the date indicated on mc to avoid other children getting the virus. Esp for my DD1, she has lower immunity. She can easily catch viruses from others if she had not fully recovered from something she was down with for example a flu or fever. She has always been one sick chicken. Asthmatic.. eczemic.. allergic.. :faint: Not easy, but definitely better managed now that she's older.

Calamine does help cool the skin to prevent from extreme itching. The water or pus from the blister-pox that seeps into/under the fingernails can grow more pops there! That was the proof of my blatant denial - that I did not scratch; every time my mumsie reminded me not to. \"Yes mom, I never scratched it at all!\" 😆

As for vaccination, almost everyone I know who had the flu vacc, caught the flu either that very day or the day after. 🤷
I learnt a trick from the days I got chicken pox. If can't stand the extreme itching, scratch those on the head! Nobody can see the scars 'cos covered by hair

      But blisters under fingernails? :scared:

I got some in those nails from scratching fervently like a sordid monkey!

          :dowan:

          Temptations they call it...
          Are hard to resist.

So when one gets the chance, one goes all out....
          In my case, scratching.

Unless mebbe if really high fever that accompanied the pox perhaps may require hospitalization. My Daddie had the ice bath when he had measles.

The itch can be unbearable…but please resist from scratching as it leaves permanent scars…

                  Hi 2013 psle parents

I'd signed up the superstar teacher psle maths and science . It is a very good program. It helped my elder son scored A* in psle two years ago. Thus, I signed up for my younger son too as he is taking psle this year (more parties join in the cost will be lesser). Please Pm me if you are interested. Hope to hear from you soon

DD read the specimen paper in the Chinese PSLE past year papers booklet. She noticed that the comprehension questions do not provide any lines or spaces for writing the answers. Does any parent know whether in the exact PSLE, the answers must be written in a separate booklet or in the question booklet itself? Is it the same for other 3 subjects? Thanks in advance for your advice.
