Thanks a lot for the link. I will take a look and give the centres a call to find out more.japheng:
Yes, I am registering for my DS this year under P2C. Not too sure which are the BASC available around APS or Tiong Bahru area though.
Have you read through this thread:

If you really can't find a suitable BASC for your son, it may be better to register him with CPS since it is near your mother's house, rather than asking your mother to make a trip to APS. When your son reaches upper primary levels, it will be more convenient for your mother, too.
Yes, true if it is more convenient for my mum to help us pick him up but she will not be able to help us look after full time. The best is only to help pick him up from BASC if we cannot rush back on time. My hubby prefers APS though and we still has a younger one who is 3 this yr. So the selection for the kor kor is critical as well. -

hi qms
Last year, there was balloting for those in the 1-2 km category during P2B. Since you have already qualified for P2B in RMPS (I assume you are), you might as well try this school in P2B. If you do not apply, your time spent volunteering in the school would have gone down the drain. If you try, you still have a chance. Anyway, you have nothing to lose by applying in P2B, right?springdance:
Hi QMS and xlan
Okie..got the distances..
RMPS - Phase 2B (1 - 2km)
APS - Phase 2C (< 1km)
Considering the school itself as well as the chances, which one is a better choice to try if U were me? Any 'strategies' to go about?
Should you manage to get into RMPS in P2B, you may then monitor the situation in APS. If you are able to get a confirmed place in APS in P2C, I suggest you withdraw your application from RMPS and apply with APS. Personally, I feel that distance is very important. On the other hand, if you need to go through balloting in APS, I would suggest you to stay put in RMPS. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
My two cents.
That's my thoughts too..
Just wondering, u mentioned abt withdrawing from RMPS if chances are good at APS.. any other reasons besides distance factor?
And how to go abt withdrawing appln?
Maybe u can PM me to share more? -

If you are doing the withdrawal and registration on the afternoon of the third day of P2C, you should station one parent at each school. The parent at RMPS doing the withdrawal does not need the original documents. The parent at APS holds the original documents. Once the parent at APS confirms intention to register with APS, the parent at RMPS must immediately withdraws the application from the school. When this is done, call the parent at APS and he/she will have to immediately register with the school. Please give yourself some time for the withdrawal and registration process. Expect many parents to do likewise and hence there may be a queue. And how to go abt withdrawing appln?

Hi springdance
I am in the same dilemma as you.
rmps - phase 2b (1-2km)
Aps - phase 2c (within 1km)
Using SD to enrol and we are SCs.
Really need advice too. -
Not quite sure which primary schools in Bt Merah area have BASC, but on hand I can only think of ZDPS & GESPS. Yes it is best have a BASC in existing school so that the logistic issue can be solve.
With the coming P1 registration going to kick start soon, I bet APS sure will be leading against BRPS. CPS also coming well due to some TV program show had indicate that the start time for them is 8am.
Wish all good luck in coming P1 registration. To use withdrawal method unless really have no choice if you are in a sort like not 1 km of the school. -

Maybe you can check how many PV RMPS accepted so that to indicate your chance of getting in the Phase 2B. As for GRL, it will not be many as RMPS is now in the SMC.Hi springdance

The school does not disclose so hard to tell. From the acknowledgment when I collected my PV letter, seems to hv 33 in total. Not sure if there are other sheets too. LOl
