Sorry I have to jump in here to ask...isn't KIT KAT from Malaysia?
the japanese are known to innovate based on others' inventions mah. malaysia only has the \"boring\" kitkat flavours, right? -

hi mckenzy,
check out: http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/47772.html
It even has historical weather so you've a better idea; of course, with global warming, historical data isnt that useful.
We rely on this to estimate the likelihood of us catching snowfall on our yearend hols.
Have fun! -
I found Apple vinegar kitkat in my most recent trip to Japan in December. Tried the green tea kit kat too. I love it. Not so sweet…

Hi. We are thinking of catching the cherry blossoms this year in Japan with our 3 year-old. Our main concern is his diet. His usual staple diet is porridge - chicken porridge, fish porridge, pork porridge... you get the drift
Wonder if they serve this kind of porridge or something similar in family restaurants in Japan (don't see it on the menu here), and what it is called in Japanese.
Can anyone help?
Otherwise I gotta feed him kitkat all the way... -
japanese version of congee is call Okayu. Typically much thicker than what we normally have here.
you may want to start him on ramen as it is much easier to find ramen than Okayu
may not be advisable to eat kitkat all the way. in case he falls sick due to constipation -

... either that, or he may get a sore throat, or a sugar rush and bouncing off walls.

erm, I let my 22 mth toddler eats whatever I eat leh. rice, ramen, sushi, bread, cake, etc. didn’t even get to try jap porridge.
if ur kid can drink milk, lagi best. can just buy fresh milk from supermart (japan milk very nice!) and drink it straight away. my toddler can’t take fresh milk. that’s why I need to bring along a can of milk powder.
