Hi, anyone knows when will SHHK be giving out the endorsement letters for this year 2013 Primary 1 registration? Do we need to enquire directly from SHHK?

Do you know if they will automatically mail the endorsement letters out to us and if we do not receive before the Phase 2B enrolment start date it means we are not endorsed by the clan?

Hi, can someone advise whether ther is any minimum period to join a clan to get a recommendation letter for Primary 1 registration? The child is due for registration in 2014. Thanks.

Hi there, my question seems to have dissapeared. My hubby is a church goer at Telok Ayer methodist church. He was baptised there as a child and recently went through an adult baptism too. How do we go about getting the letter for 2014 registration? Is there a certain number of years that he has to be a member? Does the child have to be baptised as methodist for registration into phase 2B? Is the church affliated to ACS J and ACSP? Thank you in advance.

Watch out for the announcement on church bulletin some time in June every year. They will announce. If not, can always check with church admin around that time too. Think the number of years not important but the active ministry and participation in church life is necessary for your form to be endorsed. Yes, Methodist churches under the Methodist church in Singapore have affiliation with all the ACS. Sorry, I'm not sure if child baptism is a Pre requisite (but used to be member of Methodist church for many years). A friend working in church told me pastor will check if the child attends Sunday school regularly.

Based on old information, SHHK has like a points system - this is internal criteria (tenure of membership, number of hours of volunteer work, endorsement, etc etc) that no one has access to. Then they have to consider also the number of vacancies before determining how many letters they can give out. it's really a black box to those outside the clan.

but what I understand is that for schools like Aitong, Tao nan, the bar is set very high due to overwhelming demand. So best to know what is plan B before hand.

sorry, r u staying within 1-2km? if u failed during P2B, ... do u ve any alternative plan? for what I know, P2B in both ACS are a tough war! do plan carefully and good luck for your kids enrolment

i am under 2B, now also worried if it requires balloting for Fairfield 1-2km… sigh really tough these 2 weeks! time flies so slow…
