Just received Semester 2 calendar of events.

Seemed that this year’s SA2 has been brought forward, Oral starting end Sept, written exam 1st week of Oct!!

We typically make use of the PSLE marking days to catch up on revision, cannot do that anymore this year…

Think they need time to prepare for the shift?

Yes, think so too. There will be pressure to complete syllabus and start revision earlier.

looking at the SA2 calendar, there are only 8 weeks in term 4  and minus 1 PSLE marking week left with 7 weeks..... :yikes:

i guess still good chance if u are within 2km...... but with more condos launched nearby the sch, there may be more applicants under 2B.....

                    Refer :-
                    http://www.rgps.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=52943

                    For past 3 years :-
                    Total combined phase (2a1 + 2a2) average ...
Is approximately 95 to 100 pupils.

End of phase 1 ready took up 98 seats, compared to 90 last year.
                    (Ie. 8 more seats taken)

Monitor end of phase 2a(2) results on 16 July.
The remaining seats left will be shared / divided equally, between 2b and 2c.

If remaining seats left for 2b hover around 45, perhaps no ballot.
But if remaining less than 40, likely to ballot within less than 1 km, for 2b.

We know the number of Pvs in our school, but do not know number of grassroot competing under Phase 2B ?
also, need to find out any more new condo(s) built & ready within 1 km, from our school ?

                        Yes, you’re right.

                        last year (2012) -
Total 270 intake; 42 vacancies, match 42 applied.
all PVs absorbed under P2B - including parents outside 2 km also got in.
                        No balloting.

                        2011 -
also 270 intake; 42 vacancies, 45 applied (exceed); balloting occurred within 1 km.
3 applicants unsuccessful in balloting, within 1 km.
