[Seng Kang] Primary Schools

I hear that a lot of schools in Sengkang will no longer offer Hindi in 2014. If so, how is this likely to affect the demand for seats and balloting for phases 2B and 2C?

Anyone with authentic information, please let me know.

Hi my kids are in Seng Kang Primary and they are holding an Open House on 15th July this coming Monday from 9.30am. The school has recently undergone Prime, with many new facilities. My kids love the nurturing environment and look forward to going to school to learn new adventures each day. Do come down and experience it for yourself.

Yes, yes, I already took leave to go..... main thing to enrol boy there is cose there is a after school inside SKPS itself but heard they are not taking in P1 students for next year and no waitlist.... hmmm....

I also really wanted to know but I guess they really don't bother cose they don't even explained or have my child be put on waitlist.... kinda nose high in the sky... cant help but have that feeling... if they have reason not to take in new students, at least should have come up with a reason.... So I gave up probing more....

Unfortunately these are privately run, so the school doesn't really have a say. I know that this year the school tried to reach out to other nearby centers to see if they have vacancies to assist parents.

Hi strawberry99, yes spoken to the after school care supervisor today during the open house. They can only take 70 students in total due to constraint of area. As of now, there will only be about 5 Pri 6 graduating this year so the vacancy for the Pri 1 children is limited and priority given to those 2014 Pri 1's sibling already in that after school care.... SKPS has been very kind in offering us contact of the after school area their area.... Will work out a way lor.... YMCA will only open up vacancies in 2015. I am not hopeful as vacancies will definitely be limited again....
