      Hi,

Can someone help me confirm my analysis and suggest what to do on actual registration day?

      Here's my situation:

      - I qualify for phase 2B under church affiliation
      - I stay <1km from ACSP ; 1-2km from ACSJ
      - I am a citizen
      - I have no preference for one sch over the other. As long as can get into either I'll be over the moon!

Based on 7 yrs historical records, it seems I can get my son into ACSJ without balloting.

So am I right to say ACSJ is a safer bet than ACS despite the distance?

I plan to register my son in ACSJ on 1st day of registration, then monitor and if necessary, switch over the ACSP on Day 2. Sounds like a strategy?

Yes, monitor the registration over the days and switch if necessary. Know that there will a lot of parents doing the same as you, so you might see a lot of action on the last day as parents switch between schools.

Thanks. This is my first time so very anxious…

If i need to switch on day 2, when is the latest to withdraw my application to have time to re-submit?

Anyone can get me a detailed account how to do it?

Still considering whether to ballot for acsjr within 1 km for phase 2c? Anyone willing to share their experience?

im very kiasi type! and I have 2 son... I really cant take the risk! that's why, .... for me, I would rather choose ACSJ to play safe then trying ACSP 🙂
anyway, good luck to you 🙂

                  Hi,

Can anyone please share what are the popular condominium located within 1km of ACS primary school (barker road)? Thanks!

there are too many good developments around! I think its will be good if you can narrow down to whats ur budget n prefer size.
a unit at these area can easily cost from 1.5m (maybe 1-2 bed rm n well below 800 sqft) or 8-10m (3 or 4 bed room with 4-5k sqft n above)
Newly TOP or going to TOP could be Ferrell, Madison, gilstead 2, goodwood resident and etc.... these are usually above 2k per sq ft....., if you don't mind old development, maybe you can look at palm spring, balmoral green, the twins and etc..... these are not bad developments as well.

I voted ACPS but its biased as I was from there as a kid.

But a lot of my secondary school mates are from JS I really don’t think there is much of a distinction. But again I am also old man now lol. PS was in Coleman street when I started. Boy it brings back memories when I walk by what is now the National Archives.

                      Hi Trying Hard,

Thank you so much for the very helpful information!

I think we are looking at 3 bed room condo, say 1, 300 sqf. Budget wise 2-2.5m if that is possible.

I will take a look at the properties you mentioned:) 😄
