Anybody received Entry Proof already? DS's Oral is scheduled at 8am on both days.

dd says she got it in class. ft got them to check personal details etc. nothing to bring back home. don't even know time. :?
your ds got it from class or via snail mail at home?

From class. His FT asked us parents to sign. I guess it is to acknowledge it because it has his index number (he was told to memorize it) and the exam time table. That's how we know his Oral schedule. I think each day got 2 batches. 8am and 10+am?
guess need to wait till my dd's ft release it. geez, receiving that means we getting closer! :nailbite: :scared:

MMM:

My dd is getting more slack than hardworking as the date draws nearer. I have requested my boss to let me work from home from August to early October on most days except days when I have to be in office physically. Fortunately she is understanding and is fine with this.

Just want to be at home to provide support and to watch that she is not idling too much....

:hugs:

You're a good mom. It do helps with your presence at home.
Yes, fortunately you have an understanding boss. 🆒

U must appreciated your boss more.... v understanding and rare...
Now serving my notice... will be at home from Aug 🙂

DD claims her school just finished Math syllabus.

I dare not ask about the Science.

I just zoom in on working on her weak areas WHEN she is receptive to work with me so I maximize those quality times (which are few) so that she can see for herself, she only needs minimal time with me to get it right. My DD's stumbling block is her attitude. Of course, the pre-teen hormones does not help at all. Anything can trigger a face-off. :scared:

Just had one this morning. I was too tired to say anything. When she saw me crying while washing the dishes, she apologized.

I miss my baby.
It's good that she apologised. Mine never apologised as she felt that she is never at wrong....
U are right... now pre-teen hormones are coming in the wrong timing... mine start on P5 and getting worse and worse... cant wait for Oct to arrive.

P6 mummies, what do you give your DC to 提神? Does chicken essence help? Will it be to heaty?

Haha, my ds will tell you there is nothing like chocolates to 提神!After eating chocolates and ice cream, he will suddenly become 精神! if I try to stuff him chicken essence, I think he will be v sian. Seriously, try jogging or swimming - nothing more invigorating than getting oxygen pumping in the system. Of course my ds will also come alive if he plays League of Legends on the pc. If too tired, take a power nap. Wonderful regenerative power! As long as kids eat a balanced diet with adequate meat, fruits and veggies, there isn't a real need for supplements. Good luck!

Maybe because my boss is not based locally and I've colleagues whom due to family situation are based in another state and working from home for many months now. So she is more receptive. As long as I don't miss my deliverables, they will not have issues.

Personally, I feel that there is a price to pay but it is a personal choice. I gave up promotion opportunities recently because I was concerned that if I moved to a new role, I would not be able to spend time on my dd due to learning curve etc.... At the end of the day, I think I won't feel happy if this is being compromised. I would regret my decision. Come next year, I've another P6. So I told my bosses to hold on till after next year. I will move. Job mkt seems to be good these days, rec'd emails/ calls from hdhunters and I've told them I am not active at this moment due to PSLE.

Actually wonder what else besides essence of chicken... My P5 don't mind all these essence, tonics and herbal soup. He is fine with taking it. During exams, I give him a bottle every morning.

But for my P6 dd, she hates essence of chicken... Me too actually. We cannot stand the smell  So wondering what else to offer.

Mum was suggesting making bird nest for her on a regular basis as that is something she will eat... but I wonder if that has the effect to improve concentration.
