Both days - 1 day EL, 1 day CL?
I was expecting it to be on the same day for EL & CL šŸ˜“

Means have to take leave for both days, haiz leave no enuf, still have to take almost a week during the written papers 🤷

P6 mummies, what do you give your DC to ꏐē„ž? Does chicken essence help? Will it be to heaty?

my dd doesn't take chicken essence. i do not give her anything special to ꏐē„ž. for me, enough sleep, albeit lesser than her usual 9hrs. i'd work her schedule according to her days. some days she gets 8hrs sleep, some days lesser if she's not too tired. she'll let me know.

she gets neck and shoulder massages from me too. and i make she she eats enough and as healthily as possible, and desserts. ice cream makes her willing to put in more work. šŸ˜†

Some parents just want to be around for the kids to give moral support, cook for the kids. Others because of tpt arrangments. 101 reasons. Others to go for retail therapy in the morning to take some stress off. šŸ˜‰

Dark choco was recommended to me by a Chinese TCM, she said it worked wonders for her when she was taking her exams - mind alert n sharp.

Just a small serving will do for the morning paper, no need to eat the whole block.

DD claims her school just finished Math syllabus.

I dare not ask about the Science.

I just zoom in on working on her weak areas WHEN she is receptive to work with me so I maximize those quality times (which are few) so that she can see for herself, she only needs minimal time with me to get it right. My DD's stumbling block is her attitude. Of course, the pre-teen hormones does not help at all. Anything can trigger a face-off. :scared:

Just had one this morning. I was too tired to say anything. When she saw me crying while washing the dishes, she apologized.

                      I miss my baby.

It's good that she apologised. Mine never apologised as she felt that she is never at wrong....
U are right... now pre-teen hormones are coming in the wrong timing... mine start on P5 and getting worse and worse... cant wait for Oct to arrive.

                      Mine started since P3! :faint:

                      So........ :frustrated:

All these years I have been trying to work around this hormone thingy and trying to refine the ways to deal with it. Hard work this.

You hang in there 12primrose.. :hugs: My DD didn't start out apologizing for the stuff she did or said, but i just couldn't stand the ignoring each other like neither existed.. it took a lot to break down the barrier to communicating with a growing teen.

                        buds:

laments under her breath saying things like, \"It's not so easy for everyone to know how to do all these papers...\"

I can't either. Not all of them.

Ah boy complains once a while too. I tell him the purpose of doing practice papers is to find out which areas he is not understanding well so that we can go through the concept. I am not here to find fault with him.

Yes, same thing i explained to my dd. That's where i can clearly tell where her weaknesses are. Having a teacher who cannot reach out to children at P5 level is a bummer. Really a stroke of continuous bad luck and suffering for parents because the bulk of content is there.

No matter what the explanation is or how it is explained, it still boils back down to the child's attitude. If one is faced with a non-co-operative child and not receptive, it is very hard.

To maintain a balance between cajoling and trying not to flare up is quite a task.

We did however have a more meaningful time during the June break.
