      Hi,

If I am qualified under phase 2b but in the event there was balloting and my ds does not get a place at the school, can I apply again at the same school for phase 2c or should i try other schools?
yes you can apply again at the same school but bear in mind that it will be subject to home distance should balloting comes in.

yes, but remember if balloting comes in ...you are in the very very risky group.

you will never know if the parents(within 1km, 1km-2km) will do the last minute withdraw/ applying stunt, if they realize they stand no chance with their 1st option.

It depends on the estate. If it is a populated and developed estate with very few Pri Schools, there may be ballot.

I have heard of unpopular neighbourhood schools conducting balloting in Phase 2C.

              The Little Cheng Mommy:
Hi, jennyfrmdblock. May I know why did you choose Gongshang Pri for your child? Is it a good school?

The school compound is rather small and the CCA options are still the same as last time. I don't understand why it's popular in Tampines.
Do you realize that Gongshang primary (Tampines) :-
Is one of the top 20 primary schools, listed in Singapore?
              http://unofficial-sg-primary-school-guide.blogspot.sg/2009/07/top-20-primary-schools-in-singapore.html?m=1

              This explain her popularity.

              Under phase 2c -
require balloting within 1 km, for Singapore citizenship children.

                      Dear Parent,

My son (born in year rat) will be in P1 for 2015 intake.
He will be taken care by my mum and the school where we like to register in within 1km (from my mum place), will I get a place there for Phase 2C?

                      thank you. 🙂

                        Which school? Northland Pri?

If you are going by the caregiver route, you will be in the 1-2 km category, even if your mother's home is located right next to the school.

Based on historical numbers, balloting was conducted only for those within the 1 km category. Hence, assuming the future is similar to the past, it means you will not even get the chance to participate in the balloting.
