Does anyone has the split of 2C for SC vs PR applicants? Wish to know what is the % allocated to SC before allocating to PR. Thanks!

In the case of demand over supply, for a particular phase, SCs will have absolute pirority over PRs. Meaning all SC will go in before PRs' turn. If SC applications still exceed vacancies then balloting will be among SC, based on home distance fr school. PRs no chance.

In the case of supply, for a particular phase, more or equal to demand, all applicants SC and PR will be accepted.

Does MOE or the school has the split of SC vs PR % at each phase? that will help to determine whether to go for balloting.

e.g. for year 2012, Tao Nan has 53 vacancies where there were 79 applicants. if we know the split between SC and PR for the 79 applicants is 70:30 then SC will probably have a good chance to fill up the 53 vacancies. Thanks in advance.

All 53 vacancies was taken by SC as there was ballot for SC <1km. Nos of PR among 79 applicants very likely to be 0.

            Based on my quick glance:

St Nicks - 26 vacancies left
Red Swastika - 25 vacancies left
            Aitong - 18 vacancies left
Cat High - 52 vacancies left (more than I expected)
            NYPS - 53 vacancies left
Nan Hua - 32 vacancies left
            ACS (P) - 49 vacancies left
            Fairfield - 41 vacancies left

In 2012, Tao Nan P2C, balloting was conducted for SC, living within 1 km of the school. SCs living 1km and beyond no chance to ballot, PRs also didn't have a chance to ballot.

Historically, Tao Nan at P2C balloting is within 1km.

I will be registering for phase 2C NHPS, stay within 1km. When should i call school to find out about the SC/PR ratio, 4pm? If i can’t get through balloting, i will go for Clementi Pri or Pei Tong under phase 2CS. Any parent can enlighten for CPS or PTPS, which one is better?

For 2C NHPS, don't have to check SC/PR ratio. You just need to check how many SC within 1km is good enough. You can check anytime but usually they can update half hr after closing for the day.

There is no SC/PR ratio as SC get priority, so all SCs wld get in 1st, if among SCs also need to ballot, then PR no chance.
