From what I understand of the registration system, she is right. She is eligible to register her children under phase 2B using church affiliations whereas you are eligible to register under 2C. Priority for SC over PR is for that particular phase only.

Hi,summerrain:
Does anyone has the split of 2C for SC vs PR applicants? Wish to know what is the % allocated to SC before allocating to PR. Thanks!
Need some advices for methodist school.
A PR methodist vs a non methodist citizen staying within 1km.
Who will stand a higher chance?
Met a mum recently who told me she has 3 girls, and she is trying for one of the methodist girls' school which I am also targetting at. She is a PR and she stay 1-2km from the school. But she say she is a methodist and so she is able to get in via 2B.
For me i stay within 1km from the school. I am not methodist. So I can only try via 2C.
So she will stand a higher chance than me?
I told her that in general PR is ranked after Citizen. But she said she get in via church affliation, so she will still be able to get in before me despite being a PR who stay further than me.
As I am not very sure, I dont dare to argue with her further. She is one of the mum in my girl's music class. Will see her again this weekend. Better get my facts right before i continue this conversation with her. -

PR Methodist will be in phase 2b competing with other sc and pr Methodists/ Pv/grassroots for places. If u do not qualify for 2b then you will be in 2c. The citizen priority only applies within each phase. So though she's pr, stay further but her child will be able to get in if there are more vacancies than applicants in 2B.summerrain:

In terms of who gets to register first, then yes, the PR methodist gets to register first in Phase 2B due to church affliations.summerrain:

In terms of who gets priority, then that depends. Why? Because all vacancies after Phase 2A2 are split between Phase 2B and 2C equally. So, strictly speaking, both have same chance. The PR methodist is not actually competing directly for the vacancies that you are going for.
Of course, Phase 2C, being a later phase, will tend to get those who didn't manage to get in at Phase 2B to compete with them, so slight disadvantage. But if the PR methodist is one of those who didn't get in on P2B, then in P2C, you as a SC will be given priority.
Hope that clears your doubts -
Thank u bear07 on ur update on HPPS...!

Oops, so she is right??
A PR know more about our schooling system than me...
I better avoid eye contact with her during the next lesson.
So by defination -Priority for SC over PR is for that \"particular phase only\".
Phase 2B and Phase 2C is considered different phase?
I still thought Phase 2 as a whole is considered one big phase and phase 2B and phase 2C is a subset of phase 2.
Isnt that better, the whole phase 2 let citizens get in first before PR?

Hi, wondering how many students registered on the 2nd day of Phase 2A2 in Rulang? Hopefully, more spaces for Phase 2B and 2C…
