      Hi Mummies and Daddy,

Thank you so much for all the respond to my questions.

I note that for Haig Girl's it is getting fairly popular in the recent years and I wonder if there is any balloting for Haig Girl's last year and also fir CHIJ Katong. Since both are the school which we are considering, it is important for us to know if we would need other back up plan or which we should just register first and not think further.

Lastly, can anyone share more about Haig Girl's PSLE result last year and CHIJ Katong result? Plus does Haig Girls have any affliation to any Sec School?

Really feeling the stress now know Haig Girl's have 180 seats and 64 already taken up!!! I wonder during the next few phase how it will change... Being at phase 2C is indeed stressful.

      HELP!!!
For HGS last yr psle result, you can go to http://www.haiggirls.moe.edu.sg/achievements/achievements-2012 and have a rough gauge from the graph, basically can see that their English and Mother Tongues are strong. They do not have any affiliation to sec school.

For last yr, all SC were admitted in Phase 2C while balloting was conducted for PR outside 2km. The registration for Phase 2B was minimal in previous yrs as I don't think they have any parent volunteers, they have a strong parents support group to help out.

Just wanted to chip in that HGS does have a PV scheme. You can call the school to find out more.

If have will also be minimal as in the past history, all can get in through phase 2c easily. but the situation had changed since last yr, so may be can foresee more and more going to join pv if they do accept pv.

Can someone advise whether I am reading the results from the Haig Girls correctly; the figures regarding those eligible for the Express Stream include those that went to Normal Academic as well? I assume that's what the E/N(A) refers to on the website's graphs?

              TIA

It refer to percentage of student ELIGIBLE for Express, ie PSLE score more than 188. It's because for some secondary school, if your score is between 188 to 199, you can choose to go to N(A) instead of express. That's why they put E/N(A) as not all students will choose to go to express even if they are qualified to do so.

So if I am comparing to "% eligible for the Express Stream (w/o Exp/N(A))" from another school, it isnโ€™t exactly the same as they are using 200 as the COP and not 188 ( although it is very close). Is that correct?

Sorry for all the newbie questions but just want to ensure I am understanding the figures correctly.

Not too sure of other schools. I believe all school should be based on 188, regardless of whether they stated with Exp/N(A) as i don't think they have accurate info of how many of the students opt to go exp or n(a) for those between 188 to 199. They only have info of psle score.
