Punishment??

Personally I thing the teacher is within her role to punish the child, and the pubishment given is neither emotionally nor physically damaging .
The parent can have her opinion, but has no right to go complaining in public forums.
Given this environment, who would want to be a teacher? At this rate , teacher would need insurance like docs to protect themselves. -

Agreed that parent should talk to the teacher directly and not blah it out loud. If happen to my kid, I will just pay a nice visit to the teacher and understand the situation (and try to get my kid punished in another way).
But this is a very lame punishment and I don’t know what purpose is served. Sorry to say but we all call each other names - at least where I mix around, we do have names for other pp and it can be not so complimentary (even if it is an accurate description).
eh, use photocopier is one thing - waste paper, kill trees, waste electricity…I think that’s bad too. -

i think the 1,000 lines are also meant to be shared with the parents since they have to bear some responsibilities for their kid’s behavior…
