[quote=\"westmom\"]25hourmaid - i hope you will sleep well tonight after the frenzy today! Just another update, I know someone who got into NGH at 258 + 2. So can amend your list...(currently at 263)....
im from nygh and i saw at the school's office its 263 -

kunikokatodesu:
Thanks 25 hour maid, can you tell me whats the difference between A score and T score? thanks
Sorry, I don't know what you are asking for? :? -
kunikokatodesu:
is the t-score inclusive of hMT?
T-score does not include HMT, only the 4 core subjects.
HMT result is only in grading only and it is just added directly to the T-score if one applies to SAP school. -
25hourmaid, the COP you collected, are their MAINLY the original COP to admit or are they COP based on the appeal cases?
For NYGH, I know their official COP stands firm at 263. There are a few appeal cases like 258+2 manage to get through but I also hear majority appeal were not so lucky and successful.
As for RGS, COP is typically 263 as well but for appeal cases, 259, 260 this year, they managed to get through. -

My COPs are based on member's kids' actual Central Posting and not appeal cases (would be too confusing for everyone if I were to list the appeal COPs and I don't have time for that) and even that, like I said, those may or may not be the official COPs. From experience, the official COPs are only released on MOE's individual schools' listing between Feb and Apr.25hourmaid, the COP you collected, are their MAINLY the original COP to admit or are they COP based on the appeal cases?

No, this cohort majority more *dumb*. LOL. But in seriousness, the teachers did mention at the start of their p6 year that their cohort is the least academically strong that they have come across in many years (based on their p1-p5 performance, lah), and telling them that they really needed to work v hard. Maybe there's some truth in it. -

It is not the COP that matters. COP is just a rough guide. It depends on how the whole cohort performed.
It is your relative position in the whole cohort that is more important.
In a very very difficult paper like say Maths, there will will some super brilliant kids that do all 100%. So, these few kids will get very high marks. But the rest or majority of the above average ones maybe get lower score. Cannot really compare marks from diffferent cohort.
If 2009 top scorer is 290 & 2008 top scorer is say 285, you cannot say the 290 is better than the 285 !!
