i am thinking of letting him go without chinese tuition...this way, he has to be more attentive in class and ask his teacher for help...he also has more time to study on saturday mornings.

sec 1 chinese is out of reach for me...so i let the tutor continue with him...in my opinion, it was like 'something better than nothing'. -

it is mentally tiring coaching them...but they know i mean business...no bargaining once i plan their weekly schedule...but i have to be realistic since they have school homework. any pockets of time, i want them to read. -
my tolerance level towards tutors has reached my threshold level.
cannot deliver after a certain period, have to let go…hard-earned money not meant to be wasted on them. -
My DD didn’t read Chinese story books although I had tried to borrow some books from library for her to read. So I enhance her listening skill by letting her watch 7pm Korean show with me (haha !!) part of her rest / dinner time. Notice Chinese cartoon on Ch8 Sunday morning also not bad, but of course not Doreamon lah !

Hi all, very interesting discussion you all have there. My dd (P2) watches 东海 with me too! And we even discuss the story...I'm amazed she understands it :). Btw she is currently with Berries, and am considering changing her to Tien Hsia. Any feedback on TH please?
