Question:
If there is 15 vacancies,
1. citizen within 1km radius (10 students)
2. PR within 1km (3 students)
3. citizen outside 1km (3 students)
My questions are:
1. all 10 of the group 1 would surely secure a place, right?
2. as for the remaining 5 seats, would the priority be given to group 2 or 3? or
3. all 6 of the group 2 and 3 would have to ballot?
or
4. all groups have to ballot for the 15 vacancies? -

Singapore Citizens (SCs) will be given absolute priority over Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) when balloting is necessary in a specific phase. SCs and PRs will continue to be eligible for the same phases, and all applicants will be admitted if the total number of applications in any phase does not exceed the number of vacancies. However, if the number of applications exceeds the number of vacancies in a specific phase, SCs will be admitted first ahead of PRs, before home-school distance is considered. -

With regards to the waiting list, can i put my child on the waiting list of sch A (under Phase 2C) once I know he has no chance to get in and then proceed to register him in my backup sch? Thanks!
While put on waiting list, i still have to go for phase2C Supplementary for other school first right ?路人甲:
Once registered, if no. Of local living within 1km exceed the no. Of vacancies, you do have to go for balloting. Those locals living with 1-2km absolutely no chance. So you in fact still have 50% chance of getting in lah, so not unlucky.
My sil said to put your child on waiting list once you know you are balloted out. Don't waste your time moaning, quickly grab the teacher in charge of handling the waiting list to put the name down.
All the best from my sil n 我。 :xedfingers:

Thks ! we are sporean living 750m away from the school just hoping can get in as we are not the only sporean who is trying for 2C and stay within 1km..and also PR la
If I recall correctly, all those who registered with NCPS under P2C last year were SCs. So, the numbers you see at the balloting history chart represent SCs. -

Yes, you should put your child on the waiting list of School A should the balloting turn out unsuccessful. When P2CS opens for registration, you need to register your child in the backup school, if the school still has vacancies in this phase. -

Sorry I didn't make myself clear earlier. What I wanted to ask was whether sch A will entertain my appeal to get into the sch if during the last few hours of Phase 2C I know I wont have a chance at sch A at all and I proceed to register for sch B instead under Phase 2C. Thanks! -
