Phase 2B: 41 places
within 1 km = 59
between 1 and 2 km = 4
outside 2 km = 3
Balloting Exercise will be conducted for Phase 2B for applicants (Singapore Citizens) staying within 1km.

Balloting Date for Phase 2B: 26 July, Friday
Time: 2.00 p.m.
Venue: Lecture Theatre

Why 1 n 2km and outside 2km still bother to register? Knowing no chance to ballot?

Cos they never study history. Never login KSP lor.
:goodpost:

I guess those 7 outside 1km doesnt have a chance right? Even for 2c?

18 people will fight for remaining 40 seats with 2c aka commoners like us...
:xedfingers:

Traditionally in such schools those outside 1km need not apply for phases 2B and 2C. Don't even have chance to ballot.

Will those who fail in Phase 2B still go for Phase 2C?
those staying within 1 km and has an alternate school that likely to have vacancies in phase 2Cs, would likely to try again.

Will anyone attend and witness the ballot?

Or is it just too stress?
i would

just to make sure the child's name is included in the ballot and know the result immediately. else will be pacing up & down worrying, no mood to do anything anyway.

Definitely going, 31 going for 25 places, need to see procedures followed correctly.

It's a rite of passage.

Also there might be some admin after you get in and some sympathy if you don't from the Head if not from any of the other parents... in which case 2C is a no-brainer to enter - what has changed in the meantime?

So reapplying failed-2Bers will potentially squeeze out 2C applicants, but could still fail. In which case, it simply wasn't meant to be, if you subscribe to that line of thinking.

Anyone here knows how the balloting process goes? Will they call out all the children’s names one by one before putting into the balloting box?

I dunno if I can survive the "live" stress, am anxiously waiting for the registration update for NCPS, anyone manage to find out the status from the school?

Different school different practise.

Yes, in fact most parents will choose to attend the ballot, some even bring the child along. So that they will know the results first hand, and to decide to continue to try in Phase 2C or to try another school which is less popular.

Pls don't bring the kid. It becomes dishearting when you don't get balloted in and the kid ask why... 😢

I think in all cases it is \"positive selection\" in that if there are 22 going for 21 places, they don't pull out 1 name and say \"Sorry, you're out!\" they make you wait as they select 21 winners.

But whether roll balls, pick name, pick number, father pick, principal pick, kids pick etc - I thk it's school dependent.
