2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take

Hi All


Im a newbie and didnt know tht this thread exist till i scroll up and down over and over again..

I have some questions to ask whc Ive already posted in 2 other pages(before I knew there's a specfic thread for this :P)My son is due for P1 in year 2011(2004 baby)

I am not staying in the address printed out on my IC, how do i register a school for my son?

Anyway,there isnt any good sch near to the address on my ic so would like very much to register for schools nearby to where Im putting up. So hw do I go about it? I must infm the sch or produce any documentation (proof)for the current hse Im living in whc is also our property?

What If the sch i wanted him to be in is away frm where we staying? say more than 2km away?

Im thinking of
St Hilda's(whc I feel there wont be much hope, no time for PV, more than 2km away frm the hse im living in)
St Stephen's(also away frm the hse im living in)

Not sure abt these sch, is it a good sch? its within 1-2km frm whr I stay i think)

Beware : Your IC is supposed to show where u stay. You may be charged by the Police for not updating your address or for false declaration on where u stay when u last updated your IC address

We have 2 houses but living in one…we cant possibly have 2 address in our IC so we chose to have our 1st hse printed in our ic…

You should decide which address you want to have in your NRIC. As mentioned, when it comes to registration, only the address in your NRIC is valid.

Some schools are very clever. The teachers will ask where the students stay and the truth will be out. Parents found to have falsely declared the address in their NRIC will have the child transferred out. The NRIC address should reflect where u live, unless u sleep alternate nite in each property ?

Some schools are also known to make \"site audit\" to verify, esp the popular schools.

Don't take risk. Don't let the kids learn the wrong lessons too

I too have two properties both within one km of a very popular school but we cannot let our relative use one of the addresses for their kid's registration because that tantamount to false declaration. Teacher's chat with the kids will find out the truth, and will result in kids being transferred out, negative publicity in the press, police investigation etc etc

Hi everybody…


I need help… I stay in Kovan area. My old school had been demolished and I think it has merged w XHPS. As for my husband, his AMKPS.
I do not wish to put my gal i XHPS as many told me it’s a very "normal" school. which I still cant figure out why… Next, AMKPS is too far away from Kovan… I have another 2 younger boys… Which I feel it would be better if I choose a mixed school for all of them. Therefore this yr’s, my gal’s registration must be a good choice…
I need advises… For kovan area… which school is a choice for me ? I’m thinking North Vista which locates at Buangkok Stn, and they starts school @ 8am… ends @ 3pm? but I’m also worried abt the travelling fare… is it expensive to travel by school bus…? Does anyone knows abt the rate ? How abt HGPS ?? Punggol P. sch?? YioChuKang P. sch… ?? I do not know how to choose and where shld I find their informations…?

not if i am posting in the right place… i am also an anxiuos parent who will be registering my son this year for P1. I am hoping to get into de la salle pri sch coz its less than 5 minute from from my blk and also heard of its reputation. My question:


1. this school is temp shifting to teckwhye will 2011 school session in the temp premise be single session or am/pm.

2. Are there anyone else who will also be applying along in de la salle pri sch?
