Hi mummies, would like to find out why are more and more student care closing down?


Am looking for student care for my son for next year. Called up a few student care in sengkang and a few said they are ceasing operations for student care next year.

One of the student care said is due to more primary schools going to one session and they have activities/enrichment classes after school.

Is that true? Can current mummies advise?

If that’s the case, does it mean they can stay in school till we fetch them at 6pm?

Otherwise, where can the students go after school since everyday their finish timing is different and if I find a student care that requires to take a school bus then school bus won’t be able to send my son to the student care if he finish school at different timing at certain days of the week.

I really need advises from parents whose kids are now in Primary school and they are going to a non in-house student care.

Hi everyone,


I need some assistance and advise here.

My new house is still under development and I couldnt locate the building using onemap to determine the distance to the schools of my choice.

I tried using the next building as a guidance but would like to know is that the way the school/MOE will determine as well? the distance may differs slightly depending on which building was choosen.

My concern arise is because my location to the schools are within 1-2km and a tad worried that if the school/MOE are using a different building as a gauge then maybe I will fall out of the 1-2km range since I dont know the exact distance.

Hi, would like to hear more reviews about SengKang pri, Springdale pri & palm view pri. On school hours, cca and academic. Am considering either of them for P2Cs if my boy cannot get in Hougang Pri. Or by any chance, will anyone of the school be better than hougang? Some says hougang is popular because of the heavy population at the area.

touch wood, if we were balloted out from NCPS at phase 2C. We would be automatically under phase 2Cs… by then, Compassvale is no longer available.

You haven't even gone through balloting yet. I am sure you expected to go through balloting, right? So, the battle hasn't even started yet.
