if 1-2km SC apply st stephens, think its possible? think have balloting?
-
St Stephen 1 to 2km should be safe, for SC.
Those who can’t get in Yu Neng, most likely will divert attention to Feng Shan. -
ya… this year… Yu Neng got only less seats…

Hi,
I just want to find out when to register for parent volunteer? My son was born in 2010.
Im considering between st hildha (mum stay thr) and temasek (i stay within 2km)? What would you suggest?
and please tell me where i can find out which primary schools are affliated?
Thank you all. -
WOW ! :xedfingers: Red Swastika School is always the hot favourite in Bedok. Already 95% taken up in Phase A and B. Its popularity tells you all, dont speculate.
Sleepy
I disagreed with you that RSS is not academic, since your child is not in the school, so pls dont pass comments. Only that different system suits different types of needs. :nunchuk:
My children and his other friends are all doing well in their system, which don't encourage labelling children at the early stage by putting them in the first top class and teachers only focus on the so-called elite ones. My children are not being neglected for being an average learner and they enjoy learning in this context.
As parent, we are reassured that all levels are well taken care of and it is a FAIR System. Look at the no. joining its alumni , if it is not a good school then there will no be a group of loyal and return parents wanting their children to study in their respective school. :rahrah: I am one of them -
giving yr best:
St Hilda's Primary School and Tao Nan School are the 2 pri schools in the east that offer Gifted Education Programme. Parents will associate that the 2 schools are good, hence P1 registration will be tough.Hi,

St Hilda's Primary School is affliated to St Hilda's Sec School. You can get the information from \"School Information Service\" on MOE website. The revamp website is not easy to use, you need to search for St Hilda's Primary School record to see that it is affliated to St Hilda's Sec School.
Temasek Pri school is not affliated to any Secondary school. -
phtthp:
For next year, amongst Bedok schools - Yu Neng showed the greatest change !
Yu Neng vacancies dropped by half, compared to last year.
last year (2012), Yu Neng had 52 vacancies.
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3487&start=480
this year (2013), Yu Neng had 29 vacancies.
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#bedok
those considering Yu Neng, must have a backup school.
Yu Neng takes in 180 P1 students,
Red Swastika School takes in 240 P1 students (offers Chinese Mother Tongue only),
Fengshan Pri takes in 210 P1 students.
Hence it is not surprising that it is more difficult to get into Yu Neng as compare to Fengshan.
RSS has been popular all the while, hence you must be really lucky to get a place there.
