If I'm not wrong, it will be at the former First Toa Payoh Primary School from Jan 2015 to Dec 2016.

No, it's at TPY Lor 1, the current holding school for CHIJ Toa Payoh.o

I also agree that time utilisation for pm session is not very efficient. When my DS was in the pm session, after shower and dinner, he usually does HW and revision till about 9 to 10pm.

On the other hand, it is good for kids who are not early risers. I dread the thought that I have to wake DD up at 6am next year should she be in am session.

Publica so Marymount has pm session for p1 n 2 only?

              The rest is am session?

Tpy lor 1, the one nearby Philips office?

I think it’s going to be difficult to manage for pm.
My kids currently goes for enrichment class weekdays afternoon.
If she studies pm then means have to forego that day enrichment to night time.
              Undecided.

Admin could not confirm if P2 (2015) will be in pm session. It is on the other side of Braddell View near Braddell MRT.
Yes, I agree that it is difficult to arrange enrichment on weekdays for pm session, unless the class can be arranged in the morning or later at night.

Continue to monitor the vacancies till the third day before you make your decision. All the best!

My child will have to give up weekdays early evening enrichment of piano and ballet too if she goes to Marymount Convent School. My main concern is she must have sufficient sleep and she is a late riser and the afternoon schedule is fine for daughters who tend to sleep late at night and wake up late in the mornings. Enrichment can always be re-arranged again on weekends. I can conclude Marymount Convent School offers a holistic programme after visiting various school websites last night.

Can consider this school if your child is not an early riser and tends to sleep late at night. More family bonding time at night and more time to do revision at night.

I went to the school for a guided tour back in May and the admin there could not confirm if moving to TPY will take place. My heart has been set on MC since it is near ds’ school, however, we have to painfully give it up as it does not provide transport to our area!

Really like the school alot and the girls seem well behave too. Good luck parents!!

Yes, I have a niece in Marymount Convent and my SIL has nothing but praises for the school. She was transferred in this year from a popular school in Sembawang due to their move to TPY. She feedback that the teachers are very supportive, nuturing and the communication channel is very open. She likes the modular CCA which is incoporated into school curriculum. She enrolled her younger girl in CHIJ TPY. Being single session, the girl faces problem waking up in the morning and hence affects her learning.

Her advice to me is if child is not an early riser, it’s better to go for pm session so the transition into P1 is easier.
All the best to all parents in 2C.

I called up Marymount Convent School this morning for a breakdown of SC as of yesterday and the admin lady politely declined to reveal. According to her, last year (2012) statistic, all SC <1km, 1 - 2km and >2km got in successfully at Phase 2C without balloting. She advised that in Phase 2Cs, there might be balloting and advised parents to seriously consider registering the child in Phase 2C instead of waiting for Phase 2Cs when the chances are slimmer.

I enquired about CCAs for Pri 1 girls and she mentioned that parents will have to make their own transport arrangement if interested to sign up the child for CCAs in the morning. The school bus driver will not be able to accomodate to the request of fetching the child to school in the morning for CCAs for P1 girls.

I really like the different CCAs offered to Pri 1 girls as the child can go to Marymount Convent School to attend enrichment in the morning. Check out this link:
