I hope next year when i register, still got seat for APS >2km ? So scary this year intake...

a bit risky for next yr >2km by looking at the result last nite. Can try PV under 2B? got or not this APS?

I think I read somewhere that they will not open Pv registration for 2015 intake

Parent Volunteer Scheme

My child will be going to Primary One in 2015. How do I sign up for the Parent Volunteer (PV) Scheme at Alexandra Primary School?

** The Parent Volunteer (PV) Scheme requires parent(s) to begin volunteering their services at the school at least one year preceding the registration of the child. As Alexandra Primary School will only begin to function in January 2014, there will not be any PV Scheme for admission to P1 in 2015 since it would not satisfy the 1-year timeline.

What programmes will the school offer?
Alexandra Primary School will offer the standard subjects in the primary school national curriculum. In addition, the school will offer two school-based curriculum, namely Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and Environmental Education. CQ will develop in our students the capability, sensitivity and behavioural flexibility to be effective in cross-cultural interactions. In Environmental Education, students will learn about the natural world and understand that everyone must assume responsibility for ensuring the sustainability of the earth’s resources for future generations. We will teach our children to adopt a designer’s mindset in understanding the world and approaching real world problems. They will learn to be observant, to understand the needs and views of different groups of people and to be creative as they explore new solutions.


Will there be CCAs for Primary 1?
Many schools offer CCAs in the area of Uniformed Groups, Performing Arts, Sports, Clubs and Societies. These are usually offered from Primary 3 onwards. Alexandra Primary School intends to use the Programme for Active Learning (PAL) to provide students with the same exposure, in particular in the Arts and Sports & Outdoor Education, within curriculum hours.

Seem like APS did a good marketing move by listing the profile of Ex Principal of MBS.

Guess in selecting the primary school, one of the consideration need to look at the Principal profile.
