I am recently experiencing hair loss probably due to hair dye… Need to cover grey hairs.

To reduce the loss, I went back to using pilfood shampoo (GP prescribed pilfood tablet and shampoo to me when I had post natal hair loss. It was effective as there was a significant reduction in loss and my hair starts to grow after that).

I started using pilfood 1 month back on a daily basis (bought from Unity pharmacy at $16?). One thing for sure is that I think I look like I got more hair now. During our X’mas gathering, a friend was asking what did I eat, my hair looked more volumnous.

        Hi MMM,

I recently also heard about pilfood. My boss told me about it because she is experiencing hair loss. She claims that after taking the tablet for a day, there is significant notice of lesser hair on the floor. I did not know it can be bought off the shelve.

I am actually using \"Regain\" 2% solution for maintaining hair growth. I have used the 5% solution before due to my recovery from dengue fever and there is a sudden loss of hair 3 months after my recovery. This solution was introduced by the skin specialist. The only con about this solution is that once you stop using, the loss will resume.

For hair loss, I think the only proven and real effective drug is propecia. It is very effective, but takes at least 3 months to see the effect. It needs a doctor prescription to start taking the drug. One tablet a day; a box has 28 tablets and costs about S$90.

minoxidil also works, but less effective. propecia, some say, can effect libido. 🙂

rogaine or regain? sounds like minoxidil. works as long as it is constantly applied.

              Hi,

The GP actually prescribed the pills and shampoo to me. It really works. I recalled taking the pill for 1 month and continued with the shampoo for awhile. My hair loss stopped and at the same time, start to have hair growth as well. I used to get my pilfood from the clinic. It's actually cheaper than buying from Unity.

No prescription needed for pill, what abt the shampoo??

Maybe I may just try it if what I am using does not work 😄 😄

                  Hi jsmum,

You get the pilfood from which clinic?

I bought it from Unity last week after I read this thread. 100 pills cost $56+.

I started by last weekend, seem like its works..... 🙏

                    Hi,

I actually get pilfood from my GP at 81 family clinic. It is at Blk 81 Marine Parade. I just bought the shampoo from unity yesterday at $19… Think the clinic is still cheaper. I will check the next time I visit the clinic.

I only took pilfood for a month and used the shampoo for a longer period and it works in my case.

My GP used to tell me that his wife didn’t believe him and went to some expensive hair loss program… in the end after spending 10k, there is no result…

The initial sign will be lesser hair loss. The growth will be after that.
