All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

In case anyone is interested, here are the questions that were asked during our PV interview at Rosyth.


1. "Every school is a good school." So what makes you choose our school?
2. Your child teased his classmate about " liking someone. " The other child hit your child and your child hit back and damaged the other kid’s glasses. His parents are asking you to pay for a new pair of glasses. How do you think the school should handle this?
3. The teacher seated a special need child next to your child. What do you think and how would you explain to your child?
4. How often can you commit your time to PV work?

PV gives you an opportunity to understand the school better, among other benefits. So, do you think it's worth the time?

Just curious, is Rosyth recruiting PVs now? For children born in which year? Did I miss the application period? My daughter is born in 2009.

Need a little help… I am looking for PV opportunities for my son born in 2009 for either ACS primary or ACS Junior. However there is no info available on their websites.


Can someone confirm if these schools take PV’s? We are pretty new Spore citizens hence have no other affiliation

Both ACSJ and ACSP do not accept PVs.

Rosyth has stopped taking in PVs.

I guess you are asking about Alexandra Primary? If it is important for you that your child enters this school, then I suggest you volunteer to secure a spot. However, its still 40 hours of your time. If you stay within 1 km, then you dont need to I feel. Otherwise, if its really a desirable school for you, then go for it. Good luck.
