This is one area that I think there is room for improvement, based on what I hear from TS. I often ask him about the openness and approachability of the teachers. On this aspect, he only had good things to say about the PE teacher! (jialat)

My sensing is also based on how often the school top management make itself available to the students or to solicit the views of students, or at least be seen to do so. NJC has much grounds to cover.

So you mean NJC runs like army style ?

That was the (vocal) mission I assigned him last Sunday as I drove him to report to Boarding School. I will be doing so more vigourously too this year. I encourage everyone here to do so, for the benefit of our hou-dai (successors).
Yes, do it vigourously for our sake & we shall do the same for the next intake ...

I can understand your frustration, especially so when you have appealed for your child to get into NJC. But I hope that you do not let your frustrations and negative moods affect the enthusiasm of your child in the school.

Yes, those were little hiccups. But stay positive ....
Do stay positive and maybe ,you can try giving constructive feedback to the school admin or the parents' support group. I'm sure there's a positive platform to air your frustrations. šŸ˜„

The PAACT said they do organize function like \" Have breakfast with the Principal\". Maybe you should attend. šŸ˜„

But I cannot help comparing with the publicity blitz that our S'pore Zoo once promoted, ie \"Have breakfast with Ah Meng !!\"   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
hahahahaha!!!! was having same thought too!!! šŸ™‚

While I was q'g to buy PE attire, a mother told me that Finest @ Beauty World Centre sells NJC uniforms too.

That's interesting - maybe they'd have smaller sizes? I saw some boys smaller sized than my boy wearing fitting uniforms(my boy wearing smallest size fr bibi/baba). Altho' I also saw some boys looking really untidy in roomy uniforms.

Frankly, we had exactly the same problem with the PE attires and Bibi-Baba last year. I thought the school would have learnt a lesson from last year's delays. :stupid:

Actually I thought Bibi & Baba not to bad. PE attire I also manage to get. The problem this year is the Polo TShirt.

I didn't have much problems with Bibi/Baba either. I think those parents who's children appealed in after the reporting day have much greater problems bc the rest of us bought up most of the stock already.

I notice that BiBi/Baba handles the uniforms for many schools, including all the big names like ACS, MGS, CHS, etc, etc. I doubt the school handles their *inventory/sizing availiability management*, right? So the problem lies with Bibi/Baba. And if no uniform, too bad, just have to go without uniform. Gee, I heard that some really \"ks parents\" who knew that their child (based on score/dsa) surely will get into NJC and went during the holidays to buy from the vendors already!!!! Wah, if only I had the foresight to do before reporting day! :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:

Tee-shirts generally would not be from the same Vendor since usually a supplier that does what are known as \"woven material\" apparel would not at the same time handle \"knit\"(t-shirt) material clothes. But yeah, they should let us know the vendors for the PE attire & Polo so we don't have to go only to the school to buy.
