Hi I believe its (1) A only.
The shape of the magnet X and Y are properties of the magnet itself.
The starting point doesn't matter as long as it starts from before the clip is attracted.
And time shouldn't matter. In any case its not possible to do the experiment at the same time unless we're using different clips.

For C, it is from water to water vapour, so it should be evaporation according to me. But the answer in answer sheet is Boiling....can somebody clear it for me...

Without more context on the question, I think your answer is correct too.

Apparently vaporization covers both boiling and evaporation.

2nd reason could be water drips off racked plates easily (by gravity) but can pool/stay trapped on stacked plates and this is compounded by the fact that the plates remain in contact with each other.

(Please note that racks with trays underneath, as sold in many shops in Singapore, are perfect mosquito breeding devices.)
