DS asked me this morning, what is the meaning of 'decent'. Told him mean, acceptable, proper, fitting, appropriate.

He said 'ok, for today's compo test, I will use the word decent.' Thought to myself ok, this is like his fixation with the word 'hilarious' previously. Told him nobody decides the words even before they see what the compo is about. What if the word does not fit in.

He stared at me and told me. \"Don't worry Mummy, I will be able to use the word decent. I will write a decent compo using the word decent and get a decent grade.\"

      hilarious :rotflmao:

      this is a good one.
:whut:

How to edit compo on the spot?

I noticed when my son writes a compo, he canโ€™t see parts of his story that are disjointed or improbable. However, if 3-4 days later I asked him to edit his compo, his story became much better. He can see what is wrong with his compo and amend it.

He only has 55 minutes to complete continuous writing in PSLE. Does anyone knows how to create this 3-4 days gap affect such that he can see from a fresh prespective when he is editing his compo?

        Thank you.

Some P1 to P5 students should have received their results for CA2. How did your kids perform this round?

Our school CA2 papers were too easy (except for English) and most of the students in my DD's class got band 1.

The highest score in my boy's class was 40/45 for English. Not sure about the highest in the level. My boy made a careless mistake at the synthesis section and 2 -3 errors at the compre section. Received 39.5/45 in the end.

The Maths papers were very easy. Both papers 100 marks. Think there are many with full marks.
