Went past again today and see that some front part painted already. Should be ready for school starting. Same like many condo projects, once the structure are ready, the rest should be very fast. Think the building should be ready for us.

The orientation will be the 1st day of school. The Principal of WSPS mention it on the chit chat session.

Dear Parents,


1. The construction of the school is on schedule and will be ready when school re-opens on 2 Jan 2014.

2. In order to help you plan your leave, the Orientation Day for West Spring pupils as well as a general briefing for parents will be conducted on the first day of school; Thursday, 2 Jan 2014 approximate time is after 7.45 am. More information on this matter will be provided much later to parents. There will be 3 days of Orientation for our West Spring pupils to better prepare them for primary school life as well as get acquainted with a bigger environment. Parents may view their children in action only during recess (on all 3 days).

3. As the P1 registration is still on-going, the school will only be able to assess the need for a School-Based Student Care at the end of the whole registration process.

4. The purchase of books & uniform (PE attire) / shoes will be made available before school re-opens. Details on the venue and dates / times will be provided to parents much later.

5. A good & experienced bus operator will be engaged for parents who need transport services. Details will be provided to parents much later. If you’ve any other queries, please feel free to contact our Administrative Executive, Mdm Noor at 6284 4967, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Mon to Fri.

This kiasu forum is having so many excited parents! Luckily I read about this forum in Straits Times. Otherwise don’t know have such a forum to chat with other parents!


Congrats to all mummies & daddies who have been successful in securing a place at West Spring. Must be such a great relief for you all! For me, it’ll be 2 more years before I’ve to go thru stress. Wonder by then if West Spring become so popular that must ballot at Phase 2C! looking at Phase 2C numbers now, West Spring is most popular sch! Btw, if any of you need more info on the p designate & her sch, let me know as I’ll be able to ask my relative for more info.
So happy Bt Panjang is getting a fantastic sch which is so popular already. Now I’m also getting worried about my chance in 2 years’ time!
Need to consider doing PV maybe to guarantee place. What do you all think about this idea?

Hi parents,

Sorry….I was trying to imagine what balloting situation is like. Errr…heard from my relative that at principal designate school this morning, it was very tense as there were about 18 parents competing for just 1 vacancy
Seems since this principal took over, YZPS had to go thru this kind of balloting.

Now, I’m really very worried when my turn comes to put my boy in three years’ time at West Spring. Can’t imagine what situation will be with West Spring then?
So envious to those parents who have secured a place already. I called West Spring and it said new school no parent volunteer phase 2B for next yr reg. exercise.

Sigh! Now I hope MOE will really do something about P1 registration to take stress away.

I doubt so the MOE will do anything about it..

As far as I can remember..when my mum registered me for P1, its was almost a similar process..
I remembered we were not successful lol..
The school was right in front of my block of flats and yet we got rejected and I had to go to a school which is like 6 bus stops away lol..
But hopefully something will be done..doubt so there will be anymore new schools in the near future in bukit panjang-_-
