Then siao liow!! My son didn't get called up for interview... I really really wonder he's in the confirmed or confirmed reject group... :stompfeet: :stompfeet: :stompfeet:

Think of it this way. At least it has been decided and you either get it or don't get it.
Going for interview can be unnerving becos it means the school is not sure what to think of the child yet. the decision will solely depend on how the child performs during interview.
Anyway, may all those going for the interview perform to the best of their ability.

Agree... but the feeling of waiting and waiting for the results it still un-nerving... :xedfingers:

These children who have been called up for interview, wondering if they have any Gold, Silver or Bronze award in NMOs or SPSO. If they have one of these awards, then isn't it obvious that these children are good in Math or Science?

That's what I thought so too because when I spoke to the person in charge of einstein club, he told me they do not conduct interviews for Year 1 DSA, interviews are only for Year 3. Maybe what he meant is for those einstein club kids ... :scratchhead: or maybe they just want to be sure the school is what the applicants really want since it is so specialized ...

We will need parents whose DD or DS who has been called up for interview to confirm if their DS/DD has NMOs or SPSO award.

My good friend's DD is shortlisted for the interview. She has no SPSO award but NMOS honourable mention. I guess the interview is based on the performance during the DSA selection process. :imcool:

Looks like there are 2 rounds of interviews then. First round today and 2nd round next week! Wow. Getting tougher & tougher! Good luck everyone going for the interviews!

Same here my boy has no SPSO award, only NMOS honorable mention.
He did get Gold award for Annual Mathlympics and has Distinction in both UNSW Maths and Science Competition. 😄

My guess, those invited for the interviews are those with good track records, with at least some recognitions in any of those competitions. However, they may not have \"catch\" the tchrs attention during the camp. Maybe the quiet batch. So, the school is still opening this chance for them.
Get all your DS and DD to actively response to the interviewers, the chances is good as long as they are still being considered ! 加油 !

Wow, sounds like many students have equally good results, 强中自有强中手,so NUSH need to interview the students again to see who is really the 高手。

Sounds like if no NMOs or SPSO award, need not try, really competitive!

Some schools are not very active in participating in such events so not having much or any such awards or Certs is not very conclusive. Go for it if you really have the passion!
