Think none of us can answer except the school with regards to the actual nos. of COs & WLs will be issued out.

Can't be just 150 or even 170 in total. The school has to be prepared for successful candidates holding multiple COs/WLs from other schools as well

I'm not surprise 100 for COs & 150 for WL.
If in the end 50 COs chosen other school & free up 50 to make it 100 for WLs..
And among 150 WLs, 50 chosen other school.. So balance is 100
Finally the school can give confirmation to the balance of 100 upon the release of psle results
Anyway if WLs is more than the available slot, the school has the choice to reject some away.. That's the flexibility of issuing out more WLs

      Just my guessing only šŸ˜‰

Don't mean to throw a wet blanket - I am not sure of your theory but I do know that NUSH emphasizes on quality more than quantity. I know, at least for the past 3 years, the total enrollment for Year 1 intake (DSA + post PSLE) was less than 150. this means that intake via DSA was less than 140. Not NUSH practice to fill up all the vacancies.

Each year, NUSH has the flexibility of adding 50 students at Year 3 - maximum cohort size from Year 3 onwards is 220 However, this year cohort size of Year 3 is less than 160.

Yes, that's what they told us too, they will focus on quality than quantity bcos they want to make sure they take in students who can take up the vigorous Maths and Science topics.

That's right my DD Y3 cohort strength is only 158. 2 out of the 129 from original Year 1 left. One is super HK kid at age 15 with accelerated Y5 maths and Physics apparently got accepted by homeland H K University.
The other PRC left for home after Y2.

So only 127 + 31 new Y3 students are accepted into the cohort this year. You can see that NUSH really emphases quality and not quantity. The new Y3 students also need to undergo a year of additional bridging courses for Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Out of the 31, let not not forget MOE usual practices of recruiting a certain no of Vietnam, PRC scholars.[/quote]The HK super kid was DS1 CCA mate. Left mid last year back to HK university. A very accelerated kid, very advanced in math I heard.

The 1st QF victory over HCI and Anglican high will be shown starting 12 August 7 (every Monday 7-8 pm Channel 5). The SF victory over RGS and ACS(I) should be be aired in ep 5. This is 1st time the NUSH team made QF right to Final. Very gutsy team with absolute fighting spirit !!

I think its the second time. NUSH has made it to the finals ( 2008 or 2009 ) they made it to the finals too.
